Interesting analysis. Was the threat level of Hillary’s classified emails as big as say, the DNC server emails? Because those weren’t classified and we went bat shit crazy when we found out they’d been hacked. I’d say Hillary keeping classified emails on her own private server while conducting state business represented a pretty high threat. But we don’t have to make guess work out of it, as Comey already told us it was “very sensitive, highly classified information”. And Hillary absolutely lied to the FBI when she told them she’d never sent classified emails. They found at least 110 examples of her doing so. Dems keep up this attempt of whitewashing history about Hillary’s classified documents scandal. What she did was willful, she lied about it and erased a lot of evidence.
This will happen when Trump cooperates. The same Trump who had some lackey move the boxes around so his own lawyers wouldn’t know about them.
Yes. It would be weaponization to use the DOJ to charge a crime that didn’t happen. Unlike the DOJ charging a crime that not only happened, but the perpetrator engaged in a conspiracy in furtherance of the crime. See, you are capable of learning. Bravo.
The FBI twice looked into Hillary's emails. Both times recommended no charges. Likely because when Hillary was asked to talk about something classified on her private email server, her most common response was to move the conversation to some place more secure. 30,000+ emails, and while she wasn't perfect, only a handful were questionable. Goes to intent. Try and do the right thing and get it right 99% of the time, the DOJ will take this into consideration. Trump? His intent was to never return the docs.
"Gross negligence" doesn't really require an "intent to do the wrong thing." It just requires you being incredibly stupid or careless.
A statement by Comey does not equal two investigations by the FBI with both of them leading to no charges. Want to continue the metaphor, Pence and Biden were doing 5 over. Hillary, 10 over. Trump, going 110 while rip roaring drunk.
Oh, okay. That means she knew the 110 highly sensitive classified emails she sent from her private email server were unsecured, but sent them anyway. Sounds a lot like what Trump supposedly did times 110. Keep posting and digging that hole deeper.
Our institutions considered 80+ cases against our legal elections and rightfully threw out or ruled against 99% of them. Our institutions can’t prosecute cases that aren’t there - see Durham. Our institutions do prosecute cases that are there - see Mueller’s investigation that indicted, convicted or got guilty pleas from 34 people and three companies. Our institutions are fine. Our republicans aren’t.
""None of the emails that are alleged to contain classified information were written by Secretary Clinton. The question of whether she received emails with classified information has nothing to do with any action taken by Secretary Clinton," she said. "Additionally, none of the emails that were sent to Secretary Clinton were marked as including classified information, a requirement when such information is transmitted."
Confidence in Institutions Trust in almost all American institutions of power and influence have gone down across the board over time. If it hasn't for you, you're the exception. And this isn't a Republican trend, it's the prevailing trend in the country.
Republicans complaining about how they need special treatment from the justice system to restore trust in institutions that they are trying to destroy:
Do you think that has anything to do with the concerted efforts by the right wing, in particular Trump, to undermine faith in U.S. institutions? Their stated aim actually is to destroy them. Think about that. I’ll say it’s not just Trump, Trump is cancer, but he’s also a symptom of disease. It seemed from my observations conservatives were mind f$@& after supporting W’s Iraq war lie and then seeing financial ruin, and then the first black man ushered in as President. That was alot for conservatives to take in within just a few years. Somehow, despite some of these issues bubbling with the tea party, they managed to nominate Romney in ‘12. No clue how it went full batshit between then and Trump. But it did.
Completely wrong. The left tried to turn every institution partisan, in many ways they succeeded, the right noticed, and now the right is simply pushing the line in the opposite direction... and they should be. Simple. Barack Obama, victimhood is virtue mentality, prioritization of equality of outcome, and the demonization of anybody who didn't toe the progressive party line, even if they voted for Obama. Obama was not good as a policy President, but the biggest damage he did as President was to the culture and in stoking division.
This is the right wing position:. They want Garland to justify the indictment and the different treatment of Hilary and Biden. No discussion of facts. They are counting on people not reading what is charged. Needless to say, all they are doing is boosting Trump’s chances and destroying their own. Which is why Trump will win the GOP nomination. https://thehill.com/home news/campaign/4043872-pence-calls-for-garland-to-publicly-justify-trump-indictment/amp/
