What you like is Gator sports on tv. Were at Mother's for late food and the TV in front of us has pro cornhole. They actually count that as sports.
That was a fun game. It seemed like USCe was stealing our signs the way they hit Sproat in the first inning. Shocked that Langford misplayed an easy ball. Sproat really settled in after that. Rivera with a great answer in the bottom of the first. Cade Fisher was really good as the setup man. That frosh can do it all on the bump. I am guessing Slater comes in tomorrow in the setup role if the game is in a similar situation. Good to see Halter getting some hits to go with his glove. Too much relying on homers to score runs to get it done in Omaha if we get there.
Yep, I was thinking the same thing. If the weather report is good that place will be a zoo packed with all kinds of reptiles.
I'm not over that baes loaded double play in the 2011 CWS vs USC, but returning the favor felt great!
Outstanding ballgame and WIN. The immediate bounce back with Josh's 2-run bomb in the 1st and Sproat settling down after a shaky start-- I circled the comebacker to the mound and turning the DP with bases loaded a pivotal moment and momo changer. Cade Fisher continues to impress big time. I was sitting behind the plate and he has such an easy motion to the plate- with excellent late movement- reminds me a bit of Barco. Most importantly- he's not afraid to throw strikes- challenging the hitters. I thought Sully might run him out again for the 9th but it turned out just fine. And of course, BT and Shelly did there thing in the clutch. Let's finish it tomorrow!
And fantastic news that the Men's Track and Field Team are National Champs ... again! First, Men's Golf, now Track and Field.... it's up to our baseball guys to get it done tomorrow and then in Omaha! Go Gators!
I also sit behind the plate and agree that he has a very natural pitching motion with easily repeatable mechanics. Three quarter arm slot means that his two seamer should have armside motion and sink. Getting command of that is hard but he seems to have it.
Fisher is a pitcher. Daddy taught him well. Kid gets into a rhythm and look out. Truly knows how to pitch. His moxy is impressive for his age.
Is it just me or do many of the So Car players all look like grown-ass men and many of our guys look like the kids that they are?
USCe has always been able to hit the FB—got to be smart and accurate with your location is all. High end numbers center cut do not intimidate them.
