It's one of those things where it looks like there's a double standard in how the DOJ handles these cases, and this is the worst occasion to date.

But pretending all of us were born yesterday, yes... there would be nothing wrong with this. Bad stuff from President Trump.

What makes this bad on the end of the DOJ is everything in context surrounding Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, Mike Pence, as merely the most obvious examples since 2016. It's just hard not to look at Joe Biden, Garland, the FBI... they all have a stake against Trump... and the reasons are either obvious (in the case of Garland and Biden) or evidenced (in the case of the FBI).

If one team is targeting on every play and the refs see it, but don't call it, then call targeting on a guy they're specifically known to hate and have a stake against in the not too distant future, that is a serious problem.

I believe the SCOTUS will be the final word on this case.

Dude, the fact that literally every cabinet member in White House history has taken classified docs home and had to be reminded or asked to return them, and have never been prosecuted, tells us it is not a crime, and it is not an issue that anyone in government regards as a threat.

We need to stop treating this case or anything else involving Trump, as if it has any place in the context of politics. He's a career criminal. He did virtually northing in 4 years but sleep, watch TV, give speeches, and commit crimes.

The reason this is different is because of intent. Intent which drove the volume and severity of crimes.

There was no intent with Biden, Clinton, Obama, Bush, Pence, etc. And they all returned the docs immediately, and they were never known to have shared or tried to sell any to anyone else. Not so for Trump. And they weren't boxes of the most highly classified documents that exist. They were all small-"c"-classified documents.

Being appointed by Trump would never be accepted as reason to disqualify, IMO. Point of fact, the vast majority of non-SCOTUS Trump judges have ruled against Trump consistently.

It's her record that will get her disqualified. Several very obvious biased rulings in Trump's favor, and of course the nuclear slap-down from the appellate court on this very case. She's already shown egregious bias and arguably corrupt rulings in this very case, so I can't see her remaining.

Hell, all they should have to do is show that picture her in Trump cosplay.

Read the indictment itself. You won’t come away with the impression that DOJ owes him an apology.

    If you’re talking bout Tom Fitton, I don’t think he’s a lawyer.

I'll look it over, but I am not a lawyer. However, many lawyers' opinions that I have read are saying that there is precedence in this case... if so, do you think the SCOTUS would rule against precedence?

Would you say that the double standard characterizations are fair here?

Not looking to argue, just curious about your opinion.

So in other words 31 of the 37 need to be dropped based on what your saying. The classified docs is irrelevant, but you cant charge a political opponent of mishandling classified docs when you yourself are under investigation.

I agree Trump should be charged, but don't go around defending the whole lot like they are your friends. These people are not friends of the American people and should be charged just like anyone else. If I took classified docs to my home, I would be charged and likely loose federal employment forever. Yet they get a pass...

Rick, I'm probably the only guy left on this thread (apart from you) still acting like this is complete BS.

I think he's screwed. Unless he cuts some sort of deal with the DOJ (and any such deal would likely bar him from running for office), he's toast.

The funny thing though is technically he can still win the election from jail, in which case, he'd be the President. :D

Here is the article from which is comes. Easy to see Garrett's mistake. The pictured woman looks like her, but is much older and has different eyes.
