Light years of difference. Not remotely close. It may work on those who have no conception of the facts. But no one else should fall for it

Stop repeating that lie. Nobody wiped a server. Emails were deleted by a standard email bot. Look up the fact-check articles on this, instead of listening to the profiteering propagandists in the right wing media echo chamber.

Trump, on the record, regarding his possession of nuclear documents:

“Nuclear weapons issue is a Hoax,” he wrote on the social media platform he owns, “just like Russia, Russia, Russia was a Hoax, two Impeachments were a Hoax, the Mueller investigation was a Hoax, and much more. Same sleazy people involved.”

Less than a week later, after a redacted version of the affidavit used to obtain the search warrant was made public, Trump used the affidavit to elevate the same claim.

“Nothing mentioned on ‘Nuclear,’ a total public relations subterfuge by the FBI & DOJ,” he wrote, “or our close working relationship regarding document turnover — WE GAVE THEM MUCH.”

Can you at least acknowledge the difference between what Hillary did — turn it over and cooperate — and what Trump did? And acknowledge there is a difference between being careless with diplomatic travel plans, verse the nuclear vulnerabilities of the USA.

For the millionth time, wiping the private server containing the emails is obstructing justice, not cooperating.

No she gamed the system and asked permission from incompetent folks. Asked if it was okay to print emails vs imaging, asked if okay to set up server. She should have been told no at each spot but wasn’t. That is why I say she gamed the system. The system is also set up that the user sorts their own private stuff out and is that way every where.

Trump started with NARA asking for docs. Nothing to do with Biden DOJ.
Trump said FU at every step of the way and essentially indicted himself. As it plays out, I am starting to believe he had really, really sensitive stuff that he didn’t want anybody knowing about.

You aren’t even talking apples and oranges, you are talking Gators and Noles

Ridiculous defense to claim ignorance here. She knew exactly what she was doing.

Legally it’s not a defense at all.

But it’s probably not bad politics, particularly when it’s being pitched to people who are pre-inclined to think both that Hillary is one of the worst people imaginable and that Trump is always persecuted.

No, they chose to go forward due to a lack of demonstrated intent, which seems to be the dividing line for civilian mishandling of classified documents. She was sloppy but wasn't intentionally misappropriating documents. That was the evidentiary hurdle that they needed to overcome in this case. But with Trump admitting on tape that he knew he had classified documents that he couldn't now unclassify, the multiple lies that he and his attorneys told about the existence of those documents, and the fact that they have him on tape sharing them with people even though he knows he can't, it is pretty hard to argue a lack of intent.

That's exactly what you said, you're acting like she shouldn't be held accountable because a bunch of idiots told her what she was doing was okay, as though she didn't know better.

    1. Wrong. Hillary's documents were on an email server. No documents labeled SCI or NOFORN would ever appear on an email server. And while Hillary wiped her private server, she knew the electronic records for all the emails that were government related still existed on government servers. Emails about Chelsea's wedding or Hillary's yoga are not classified, nor do they need to be retained as government records. Those are the emails deleted, and later recovered.

    2. Joe Biden had absolutely nothing to do with this indictment other than nominate Merrick Garland for AG. Garland also had nothing to do with this indictment other than to select Jack Smith as an independent investigator. This was done to negate the appearance of political influence. If Smith can prove Trump is truly a national security risk because of the documents he possessed and shared, then it shouldn't matter whom is in the White House at the moment. And nobody should ever want Trump close to office again.

    3. Wrong again. Biden had a bunch of classified documents in his U of Delaware office and his garage that were forgotten. Biden's own staff discovered them, and the moment they were discovered, Biden notified NARA and the FBI. Records from the office were turned over immediately, and Biden allowed the FBI to conduct a thorough search of any and every place docs might exist. That's how the docs in the garage were found. In contrast, Trump took measures to hide the documents from the Feds and lied about having them. Read the indictment for further information.

    4. And now you're batting 0 for 4. Trump had the ability to declassify most, but not all of the documents found at MAR. Some of the docs were marked as such so only the originator of the document could declassify them. So if, for example, the Department of Energy produced the doc, only someone from the DOE could declassify. These are often the most classified of classified docs, and are usually marked SCI too. Trump never had the ability to declassify them.

In addition, once the clock struck 12:01 EST on Jan 20, 2021, Trump lost his ability to declassify anything. he was no longer President, and the ability to declassify lies with the office, not a person. And contrary to what Trump believes, a POTUS can't declassify simply by saying "Abracadabra!" and declassifying only in their head. There is a process that must be followed before anything becomes declassified. Trump knew this too, and is on tape saying he's showing a doc that is classified to someone without clearance.

You are grasping at straws because you fell for a con man that stands for nothing but himself. And because Trump stands for nothing, you have fallen for his con lock, stock, and barrel. Trump is a megalomaniac narcissist who is a national security risk. He belongs behind bars, and far, far away from any national security secret ever again.

Barr et al had plenty of time to file charges versus Hillary, and if they could have they WOULD have; believe me; like no one has ever seen before. If she violated a law, charge her and let a jury decide. but let the orange god slide.....makes perfect sense:rolleyes:

Good lord man, surely you can see the difference. It's insane if you can't. Trump wouldn't have been indicted either if he had done what multiple Dems and Repubs did and cooperated with the DOJ.

Nope… for the millionth time, state department employees were only required to turn over government related emails, and were allowed to sort them out themselves … she had every right to bleach-bit her personal and political emails. That is a fact. You are trying to hold her to a different standard that didn’t exist.

The reason why Trump dug his own grave is because the archive knew what was missing and or never turned over. You didn’t see that with Hillary. I can’t recall any indication that classified docs were missing, so it’s not likely that she obstructed the recovery of any.
