If we had that Trump would have been in prison long before he even dreamed of running for president. Dude has been treated with kid gloves and deference his whole life first because he was rich, and then because he was powerful.

Just a reminder Trump was not the only one indicted and the key word is knowingly.

Who refused to return them? Who refused to cooperate? Who lied about still having them? Who swore under oath they conducted an investigation to find the documents and that everything had been returned, but got caught lying? Who effectively poster-boarded them to the press and to buddies to self-brag?

Let us see if you are capable of a fact based discussion. Which of the 38 indictments are for the crime of "mishandling" classified documents?

    Good grief.

No, you don’t want equal justice under the law. Because what those other politicians did was what every politician has ever done: accidentally and incidentally had a small number of classified documents mixed in with other materials that inadvertently were transferred out of a skiff or out of the LOC or White House. And every single one of them, immediately upon learning of their existence, returned the documents and either lead or allowed someone else to search for more, to make sure they were in compliance.

This is commonplace, just like what Hillary did with her emails were common place. Literally, the immediately preceding Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice, did the same thing. And so did Karl Rove. And so did countless others. It is not a crime to accidentally or incidentally use a private server to send classified emails outside of protocol. That’s why it is never prosecuted.

What Donald Trump did, as we knew all along, and certainly as the indictment informs us, was an enormous mountain of intentional crimes.

Again, you are conflating two completely unrelated things. All previous instances have been for reasons of increasing the immigrants’ safety or facilitating necessary logistics of their processing. What Ron DeSantis keeps doing is nothing but a political stunt to “own the Libs”. And they are also lying to the asylum-seekers about where they’re going, whereas in the past, deception and fraud was not part of any movement.

You can remember it as long as you want to, but you cannot indict and prosecute political enemies willy-nilly just because you want revenge. That’s actually the definition of weaponizing the DOJ, which is what you guys are screaming about. They actually have to commit crimes that rise to the level of prosecution. Not make inadvertent accounting errors.

It reminds me of some QANON woman I saw interviewed in Dallas back when that group was all hanging out - awaiting JFK Jr’s resurrection or whatever.

Her response was “You’ll see, oh you’ll all see”. Woman was very crazy looking, like something out of a horror movie. My only thought was “she would definitely drink some orange Kool-aid”.

Never forget. It was Flavor Aid, not Kool Aid. Don't besmirch the large red pitcher man or he'll bust through your wall.

What Presidential candidate mishandled classified documents, lied about mishandling them, and tried destroying them?

And Comey essentially said it was likely that Hillary mishandled classified documents but the FBI wouldn't move forward with an indictment.

Here are the categories of the indictments:

    "Conspiracy to obstruct justice"
    "Tampering with grand jury evidence"
"Concealing evidence in a federal investigation"
    "False statements"
"Espionage Act/unauthorized retention of national defense information"

You should tell anyone, like 715, that tries to equate this fiasco with Biden or Pence to pound sand. They are not serious people.

You indeed live in a bubble. While there is a very real possibility that Hunter Biden will be indicted there is absolutely no evidence that Joe Biden committed any crimes. Keep in mind that the Trump DOJ had four years to investigate him as did the press and while not impossible the probability is that if Joe Biden had committed any crimes they would have found incriminating evidence long before Biden decided to run for the presidency in 2020.

Getting the indictment out for all to see was necessary. It keeps trump hirelings and sympathizers from getting out in front of it and creating a false narrative the way Barr did the Mueller report. From reading through it, Its clear to me serious crimes were committed and it will soon be time for trump to be held accountable. This and all his other malfeasance will be his legacy. This is how he will go down in history*

You can tell me that all you want.

I'll tell you the same when DeSantis or Trump get to appoint the head of the DOJ and the FBI.

None. It’s not happened before (even though, factually, he wasn’t a “candidate” during the relevant period of time)

First admit that you were wrong and the indictment involves the mishandling of classified documents.

I just showed you it has with Hillary Clinton.

And the FBI chose not to go forward because "meh."
