If any Dem, Rep, Independent, Libertarian, Green Party, or anyone from any other party took classified docs, lied, and hid them, I will also be glad to see them indicted.

    We're not like you. Stop

Did they then hide them and lie about it. Or did they cooperate and turn them over? Pence?

The TV was even worse last night. From a network that paid $700 million for maliciously lying about the last election— and that was about one series of lies. But people watch that— lots of them- and they live in that reality. More than watch mainstream news, which Fox isn’t.

Nice shift. They prosecuted Bill Clinton for perjury. Ken Starr agreed to a deal with Clinton. Then again, you are shifting the subject. The subject here is Trump’s indictment. I suspect it will be detailed and when the charging facts are revealed, you will think differently if it follows the public sourcing of information

No. Not a great or glorious day. Very solemn and even sad. What needs to be done doesn’t make it a happy result. It is a glorious day because the Panthers won!

Shouldn’t we at least wait to see the actual charges and evidence before laughing this off?

Unless you’re argument is that a former president should never face charges regardless of the legality of their actions, but this is an extreme philosophical position.

The difference is the requirement of specific intent. All of them had documents packed in boxes or kept inadvertently. They see so many of those documents that it happens when they move. When asked, they gave them back. Trump kept the documents knowingly after being asked for them. Claimed falsely that they were his and he declassified them. If Public sourcing is right, one set of documents is war plans drawn up by Milley in case of war with Iran. When Miley said that he stopped Trump from starting a war with Iran in his lame sock days, Trump supposedly waved the document around in Mar a Lago and said that he could not show the document to anyone but it would refute Milley. That meets the definition of a national defense secret and would show specific intent. Not to mention the obstruction of Justice. All of this is brazen stupidity. It will likely come out that he was offered a sweet heart deal— government Dora’s that to avoid having to have secrets cases in the open. He likely refused. All the things he and you said about Hilary back then, that is what Trump is.

To paraphrase Alan Dershowitz...it better be damn egregious.

And the subject is far less 'orangeman bad' than the integrity of our justice system, for centuries, anchored in the lost virtue of restraint, especially when the implications are materially political (ie disenftanchising an enormous percentage of the population).

Billy bob was impeached. Once. For far less than he was accused. Thats it, and that was decades ago. A different America.

Trump has already been impeached twice, on trumped up witch hunt allegations, and indicted now twice.

...and Biden's classified docs wasnt him cooperating--that didnt happen until he was caught...by his own doj, and thus soft peddled. YEARS after the fact....

....and all the while, the evidence incriminating that corrupt bastard continues to be buried.

Weaponized DOJ running cover for its own, and going full throttle attack mode on its political opposition.

Hard to believe so many on here back this disgraceful abomination.

I just can’t figure out why he would want them. Although I have seen folks want to keep work product, it is just bizarre.

    Bragging rights
    Power
    Negotiate with powers
Or as simple as “Nixon got paid” and he was playing a game to sell them back.

A completely manufactured issue, but unfortunately, he manufactured it against himself.

As we are seeing here, members of the Law & Order party believe in L&O "only for thee, not for me."

If laws don't apply to everyone then we don't have a valid legal system.

I thought Derch was part of the Global Epstein Grooming Cabal Fox was fighting against. And yet, there he was on Hannity.

No, we're seeing the "little guy party" cheering on the grossest bully play since b4 the civil war.

(...and the "rule of law" party lamenting the exact opposite, which is its weaponization).

Brought on by a narcissist who considered himself above the law. All he had to do was turn over all the documents but he didn't wantvto and they couldn't make him.

I don’t even consider it a particularly solemn day.

Trump was already indicted in NY for illegally paying off a porn star with campaign funds, and based on the facts - if the process works he should be indicted yet again in a red state Georgia for a separate election fraud scheme in that state. I think the feds should have him on several other crimes he’s committed as well (although I suspect the statute of limitations ran out on stuff like Trump U fraud, the charity fraud that was settled as civil case, etc)..

The “solemn day” was way back when the pubs nominated an obvious clown to be their guy for President. Predictably, it didn’t go well. I’d say the cult has gone beyond what most anti-Trumpers predicted though, except for one guy who said he could “shoot someone on 5th ave and not lose one voter”. That quote says it all.

Listen, they gave your orange Jesus almost 2 years to return the documents. He refused to do so.

He was also the one who signed the law to turn his own crimes from misdemeanors into felonies. Talk about being hoisted on your own pitard.
