Here is the data saying Florida leading In population growth percentage for the first time since 1957. So 65 years. If it’s sunshine and no taxes that hasn’t changed in 60 years(plus air conditioning). So what changed? Well, Floridas Covid response was very popular with both sides so I’m sure that had a lot to do with it especially when compared to some strict dem states. But most on here won’t admit that.

Upwork Study Says 19 Million Americans Plan On Relocating Due To Remote Work—Is This Likely Now That Omicron Subsided?

You want Desantis to be a bigger deal than you think. He is quite unpopular outside of FL. One being the reason that you disagreed with him. Abortion rights. The woke stuff is secondary. But that was the end of his presidential career. That day.

I’m not saying DeSantis is the reason. The reason was because DeSantis opened Florida sooner than just about any state and opened schools. That’s my thinking of why Fl led the US in growth

I’ll have to remember that one.

Next time we get the “no other country has this problem” comment in a gun thread, we’ve got the bulletproof response ready to go of “or maybe they do and we just do a better job of reporting shootings than the rest of the world.”

That’s actually true I think to some degree. No country on earth is more willing than the US to publicly and loudly show and debate its warts and issues. But deaths are pretty hard to cover up in anything remotely resembling a democracy.

There is no way to quantify this, but more people will come to Florida to visit and support Disney than as a show of support for DeSaster's policies.

    Incorrect:
Law enforcement agencies report hate crimes brought to their attention monthly or quarterly to the FBI either through their state UCR programs or directly.

Those numbers are not accurate, due to selective reporting. You can argue all day long, but I was simply correcting an erroneous suggestion. Do you need me to reiterate the error? Number of religious hate crimes is irrelevant.

But if you inform yourself, the reliability of hate crime data is questionable for good reason. When you want to trot that line out for gun crimes (much easier to identify & track), you will need to validate it.

We are talking about two different things. I was speaking of at the moment of arrest. I was saying that LE doesnt decide in the moment. I think I misunderstood her point and was commenting on the arrest report.

    1. I didnt bring the religious part into it. I was rebutting an incorrect stat.

    2. This thread is about Florida blah blah blah, when California and New York do the exact same thing. So if you are saying ALL the numbers are irrelevant, thats fine, but then why is Florida singled out?

    3. Knowing that most large states/cities do the same thing we can still look at the numbers they do report and garner something from them.

He is currently the best option to beat Trump. He hasnt walked out on multiple wives and he isnt a criminal. I believe he handled Covid well.

I disagree with the Disney crap, but also am not crying like a child over the book thing like so many others and I agree with him about gender surgery for minors.

He isnt a progressive. That makes the left hate him. He also isnt a deplorable human being to his wife and kids.

I think he needs to tone down the team politics, and hope he will.

But right now, we need to rid the world of the Trump stain. He is likely the best shot.

Florida is run by nuts. The state as a whole isn’t nuts. It’s been a purple state for decades and still is. It has been gerrymandered to hell by republicans and the democrats have run uninspiring candidates for governor, one who almost won.

Desantis has overplayed his hand and wouldn’t even win reelection in Florida.

The state will flip soon and this nonsense will curtail. People will always move and vacation at the beach. That is not a GOP invention it’s geology.

Since the media is 99% leftie, if there were a crap load of hate crimes against lgbtq folks in Florida, that's all you'd hear about 24/7.
