By: Eric Fawcett -- June 7, 2023 Florida’s roster got a huge boost on Wednesday as ESPN reported that UC Riverside transfer Zyon Pullin committed to the Gators. Gators Land Commitment From Guard Zyon Pullin | GatorCountry.com
Thanks Eric for the news. Also CTG and staff for finding a stud pg. Can’t wait to see muscle and weight gains from out bigs mainly, and muscle for all the guards. Get ready for teams like Alabama, UConn, Arkansas and Texas A&M wars. This league isn’t for the weak and thin. Great pull and look forward to seeing all the new talent find the spots where they excel. We finally have big depth and guards that are good shooters, not only that, we have some muscle. Kentucky has a great class coming in and so do we. Let’s dance!
They will be right back this year by the time we play them. The sun comes up and goes down, but the sun keeps coming back. Book it! Unless, you can fill in details of why and change my mind. Too Many years following Kentucky playing the Gators!
If Antonio Reeves transfers, which is a distinct possibility, UK returns only Thiero and Onyenso, who scored 4.8 points per game in the aggregate. They are bringing in 5 highly rated freshmen, but that’s it. They have 7 players on the roster. They need a big man to replace Tschiebe, and there’s not much left out there. So, right now they have a 7-man roster whose total college experience is 4.8 ppg. In the meantime, most of the other SEC teams have been kicking ass in the transfer portal in addition to retaining way more players than have been retained by UK.
IMHO, the best attributes of the new transfers..... Intelligent play.... With and without the ball! I like what this staff did this off-season to change the culture Go Gators
Tampajack, I hear ya. But this is probably one of the most popular blue bloods in this country. The best players always at least hear out Kentucky and what they have to offer. They aren’t done with recruiting. I have seen on a couple of sights, some great players still considering them. So, even though they are thin, I will wait till fall practice begins and we will continue hashing out what they end up with. Remember, they are known to throw out offers that are huge when they are under stress. They have the alumni/followers/money to get more when needed. This is where they shine. Doesn’t mean that they won’t be in serious trouble with depth/roster when recruiting for this year is over. Let’s pause this discussion till fall practice!
Good point. This program has been plagued by selfish and reckless play and low basketball IQ for a few years now.
