Didn't realize that they had tailed off so much after his first season. Winning record but not good enough.

Had no idea their coach was called Lovelady. And I live in Orlando.

  8. As Kendall Rogers said it's a pretty good program to get a start at plus going into the Big 12 should help recruiting (even though road games are a long way away). If they can keep the guys home who've been going to second tier SEC/ACC schools and develop them then they can compete week in and week out.

The rolling bats thing was a pretty serious accusation, guess nothing really came from it.

He has been the glue in the last couple years concerning Florida recruiting and keeping this squad together. Amongst the high school coaches and the state Joralemon is a big-time name ,there’s not a lot of coaches that are in love with Sully. But has got a brand that is tough to break .

Sully’s personality isn’t for everyone but it is hard to argue against all his results. He develops players, takes care of arms, runs a clean program, is hosting his 13th regional, has won a NC, has owned the state, and always has a competitive team.

He’s not gonna kiss HS coach ass and treat diva prospects like divas. But he will not abuse arms ala LONR or compromise a player’s future.

Jeroloman unfairly took some heat from UF fans last couple of years. I love the guy, was around him a little when at JU and thought he was great. Could easily see him transitioning to a very good head coach and UCF would be a great spot.

    UNF now open as well.

Feels like it would do them some good to go outside the family for some fresh blood. They've only had 3 coaches in their history, but each of them has come from very similar backgrounds.

The Stoneman Douglas (top 5 program in country each year) and PG leadership love Sully. That's all that matters. Ha

The University of Central Florida is targeting Joe Girardi as its new head baseball coach, a seismic move sure to send shockwaves through the baseball community.

Have to wonder how he likes recruiting 18 yr olds. I'm sure there have been successful former mlb coaches at the college level but I can't think of one at the moment

Was my first thought too....almost 60 years old and zero college baseball exposure since he was in college? Think he's a heck of a baseball man, which is a big part of the battle...but college coaching is a different animal
