Meanwhile, Fox News is ranting about Canada’s sneak attack on us, and the horrors of a government recommending to avoid breathing in smoke.

A conviction would make the crazies even crazier. It’d be better if the American voters reject him by such a large margin that even much of the “it was stolen!!!” crowd has to admit he lost.

even better if Republicans stepped up and rejected him in the primaries. At least his wrath would be directed at the GOP rather than the United States and our democracy.

I couldn't tell whether he (@staticgator) was facetious or actually serious considering the absurdity of his post.

Think about it. Trump has been criming his entire life and has basically suffered no repercussions. Why is that suddenly changing now and who benefits? Answer: Establishment Republicans who know Trump is an electoral loser and need to clear the deck for a new candidate they think can win. Who controls the FBI? Answer: Establishment Republicans.

Establishment Republicans do not control the DOJ, the Manhattan DA or the Fulton County, Georgia DA. Like John Gotti the original "Teflon Don" who also avoided prosecution for decades, Trump's luck is running out and short of an actual conviction for a crime like seditious conspiracy, indictments or even convictions wouldn't disqualify him from running for office and among his followers who still constitute enough Republican voters to give him the nomination, legal action against him would simply reinforce his narrative that he is the victim of the greatest witch hunt in history actually strengthening support for him.
Minor correction:Gotti was actually prosecuted and acquitted before being finally convicted. I guess if Trump is tried on the Stormy Daniels hush money case first he could be acquitted or his trial could end up with a hung jury. Much less likely with the Federal cases.

Another first for the Donald. First candidate elected to the presidency who never held public office or served in the military; first defeated incumbent president who refused to accede to the peaceful transfer of power; and now the first (former) president to be indicted (not including the Manhattan indictment). It will only be a matter of time before he has another first as the first former president to be convicted of a crime.

    Project much?

Im sure most of this forum rubbed one out upon hearing the glorious news that the full weaponization of our justice system was now complete, and ready for its first kill. Yay!

    Communism is awesome!
