Needle dispensaries are proven to be a good public health measure to stop infectious disease among drug users.

Not sure why we’d jump to conclusions on this. The writer of the article comes off as a moron, notice he doesn’t actually articulate any case whatsoever against the machine. His biggest gripe, apparently, is that it will be vandalized/destroyed…. because crackheads. Maybe, maybe not. But if they already deal with that stuff w/ needle dispensaries I’m not sure why we assume they can’t handle it here.

There is definitely a drug problem in this country. I’ll side with the people at least trying to make a minor difference. Douchebags like this “writer” are not helpful.

I dont know how it works, but the dumbest thing about it would be if you need 75 cents to use the machine

 

I don't know if it's a good idea or not. I know the danger posed by dirty needles but not sure about pipes or the issues there.

What is interesting is how focused some sites seem to be on major cities in blue states and how little attention they seem to pay to the drug abuse and overdose problems in red states and rural areas. Seems like partisan bait to me.
