I think the effort on the trail started to really come to light in year three with Mullen, and the wheels came off in year 4. I don’t think effort is a problem with this staff. If properly funded, because that IS a huge part of it now, I think they will continue to be successful on the trail, and the product on the field will improve.
Apples and oranges. Mullen's plan was to out-scheme and out-coach his opponents. Barely paid attention to recruiting. Napier's entire plan to win revolves around recruiting. He agreed to come to UF after the Administration approved his plan which included an increase in recruiting budget and staffers to pull it off. I have very little doubt that he'll get us back to consistent 9-10 win seasons. I don't know if he'll consistently get us to the playoffs. Is he Mark Richt II?
Richt would have gotten into his fair share of 12 team playoffs. I’d be pretty happy to get the program back into a place that stable.
