Disappointing-It was Lugo's car so maybe she was to drunk to drive. I wonder if they will lose their jobs.

This happened months ago. They are both still employed as they should be. This will be an expensive lesson but for the grace of God, no one was hurt and I am sure there are plenty of people here that escaped the same fate as KL. No use piling on her for a first time mistake.

I agree no one should pile on and I'm sure it was a wakeup call, but driving drunk is not a mistake-these are adult ladies that should know better.

That is a really high blood alcohol level. In the city where i work that BAL is a mandatory-minimum 10 days in jail (can't be waived or suspended -- must be actually served) and up to a maximum 180 days for a first offender.

That is such a high BAL that I hope she doesn't have an alcohol issue. That BAL sure doesn't sound like social drinking. A 140lb woman would have to chug a six-pack in an hour to get to that level. From the Internet:

If she does have a problem, hopefully this will take her out of denial and let her realize that she needs help. It could be a one-off, maybe. But I'm sure that just like everyone here, I feel really bad for her, I'm thankful that no one was injured, and I hope that this brings on some changes for her going forward.

    And two more things:
    1. Some of the comments posted on the linked article are pretty sick.
    2. What was Natalie thinking getting into the car with her?

I saw it today for the first time. It's softball related. Sad, but it concerns 2 people who were part of the program. Not trying to cause trouble or problems, just making information available that I'd never seen before. I'm concerned about all of our players, past and present. No harm intended.

I'm not making excuses for these ladies but the transition from becoming a star athlete and all of a sudden it ends to becoming an everyday Joe can be difficult particularly if you stay in the area. I cheered for these girls when they were winning games for Florida and I'm cheering for them now. They both represented UF very well, I think they are quality people and they have my support. This incident is a blip on the radar compared to some of the major problems of other past Gator athletes.

Looks like you are making excuses. That blip on the radar-all it takes is a few seconds driving drunk to injure or kill someone.

FSU played OU once at OU. Score was close (5-4) for OU but the stats were not close. Storako started and got hit fairly hard. Jordy completely shut them down. Sandercock was OK but not dominant. Reid and DuBois struggled. It is what it is and may not be predictive for this upcoming series but it is instructive. Oklahoma

Won't it be fun listening to Beth Mowins slobbering all over the Oklahoma program and their players. When she is broadcasting I mute the TV.

Instantly mute. I refuse to ever be subjected to her assault on my ears and brain. Normally, whenever the mouth is on, I just pull up one of the involved team's radio broadcast and sync it to the tv feed. Not hard...usually just have to pause tv for 10 seconds or so until radio matches. However, it seems that the NCAA has interceded and in the WCWS the feeds aren't there. At least from the semis on through. FSU doesn't have a link for radio. OU does but I question if it will work. Westwood One seems to work but it is strange in that I can't get it to pause long enough to match up to tv. Close but in prior cases Westwood has been ahead of tv (unusual) and I can only get it close to the game action. Still better than listening to the motor mouth and her idiot co-conspirators. OU's link:The Franchise Westwood link: Westwood One Sports

It has to be 9-1 at least for the fans that can't stand Mowins and her crew. Amanda and Kevin Brown are far superior but ESPN continues to subject us to Mowins. I have tried to write to ESPN asking what illiterate moron actually decides the programing and subjects us to this absurdity but it isn't easy to do that. ESPN appears not to be very interested in what their clients want. My suggestion, assuming ESPN can't get out of whatever absurd contract they entered with Mowins, is that they banish her to Alaska to call Little League games so we never have to hear her again.

I’m not rooting for Oklahoma to win, I’m rooting for the Noles to lose.

Game is delayed by lightening in the area. No word on when it will start.

Maybe she's the Sarah Longley of broadcasting.
