Dr. Prasad is an evidence based Physician. With that he is someone I disagree with 100% on certain issues (abortion). But when it comes to medicine and public health he is spot on. He is vaxed and boosted (boosted against his will to keep his job based on my following him). This is reality when it comes to Public Policy. This is why DeSantis was and is the Gold Standard. He protected our kids in Florida from the idiots. He listened and led with conviction and common sense using the information available.
You are embarrassing yourself. Please stop. Your feelings are not facts. ONE looney tunes MD that agrees with your POV doesn't represent MEDICINE. Bud, this is sad. Covid response[edit] In October 2021, Prasad prompted social media controversy when he published a blog post comparing the U.S. COVID-19 pandemic response to the beginnings of Adolf Hitler's Third Reich. Bioethicist Arthur L. Caplan said that Prasad's arguments were specious and ignorant, and science historian Robert N. Proctor said that Prasad was "overplaying the dangers of vaccination mandates and trivializing the genuine harms to liberty posed by 1930s fascism".[26]
Hey, give Q a break. It's not like he's going to find a reputable doctor that agrees with his position.
Why are you still watching Youtube videos? You already watched enough to fully understand medicine...
Not one person addressed his points about why DeSantis was right so far. Par from the course from the group that continues to fall for the propaganda.
And I hope no one does. I didn't watch the video because I already know what he's going to say. You're worse than a broken record. You talk about the same thing over and over again every single day
Because your nonsense has been refuted so many times people are sick of it. Your are the "flat earther" of Covid here.
I have no dog in this fight. I just find it humorous that you counter a youtube video from a practicing MD/health researcher with a wiki submission quoting a trained philosopher and historian.
@middleoftheroadgator also the other day accused me of lying for calling out their ridiculous claim that 96% of Kansas is “Christian”. The best part is @middleoftheroadgator linked a Pew study/survey showing they were “lying” if we want to call people liars. They have been silent since. Sadly he/she is not concerned about truth.
I think the posts in this thread are hitting on the key question: what reason do we have to trust Prasad’s analysis more than those of other doctors? The answer to this cannot be that we agree with his views, or else our justification becomes a tautology.
Prasad is an evidence based doctor who chooses not to be silent. Most doctors do not choose to engage through media and podcasts. He like all doctors knew the mask lunacy was just that. Lunacy. It was known yet most just quietly moved on doing their job. As most now work for the man (big corporations). But they all knew from medical school how ridiculous the policy was. The lockdowns of schools was common sense and they had the data to know reopening was not just vital and critical. But safe. I like using people I have differences with to make my points. It does not always work but in the case of Prasad it does. I can guarantee you that you could find plenty from Prasad I disagree with. Especially on abortion. I thought it would be good to have a positive DeSantis thread since so many here want to bash him.
A Dr says X in a video. A bunch of non Drs here don’t agree, so they attack the poster, but not the science discourse. Typical.
I understand that you don’t agree with his stance on abortion, and like his views, but one can’t be the cause of the other or you’d like Biden’s views. What I’m asking is for this cause. Why is it that you believe Prasad’s views are based on evidence and not those of other medical professionals?
For one. The vast majority of medical professionals agree with Prasad. It took some longer to get there. And others are just not vocal. Medical professionals understood a long time ago the damage done by lockdowns and the ineffectiveness of the shot along with seroprevalence and the risk profile of the disease. They have been treating it accordingly. Unfortunately the organizations that are supposed to provide guidance and protection have continued to peddle propaganda which has made their job much more difficult.
