LSU introduces air-conditioned helmets

    I know that the head give off a lot of heat but there is a lot more volume to put stuff in the shoulder pads. Maybe connect the helmet with tubes for more cooling.

    I can see one of the batteries catching fire and creating a real problem for a player under a pile. Wonder if he gets a penalty for taking his hat off on the field.

    Why is there no patent involved? It's just so simple that anyone can do it? Yet no one has thought of it till now? A patent would at least be worth a try. Of course the Patent Office could just reply, "You really think you've done something, don't you?"

    You are all missing the point of this move by LSU. Just inside of the air intake vent is a small scented patch to fill the helmet with the scent of corn dogs and whiskey for road games.
