When you only want to hear what you want to hear…

Sad. But par for the course with many on too hot ironically.

I’ve said it elsewhere but I haven’t seen it widely publicized, but at this point, if you are fully vaxed, boosted, and get Paxlovid your chance of dying from Covid is almost zero.

My 90 year old parents, with the above, shook off Covid recently like a bad cold.

And no, your 90 year old parents did not shake off Covid like it was a bad cold. They just shook off a bad cold.

Bears repeating, given the way we immunize doctors from criticism and even deify them …

The key is finding a doctor who is not ignorant or politicized like several who post here. There is a really short window for the anti-viral to curb viral reproduction and prevent the virus from overwhelming the immune system.

That said, I totally agree with you.

There’s so much noise out there. Past the initial vax I have been the one telling my parents that another booster is out there and they should take it. Unless they have a doctor appointment, and the doctor makes a point to recommend it (it seems to me many doctors avoid the subject) I’m the one. When they got Covid, I’m the one (and my sibling) who told them they probably had Covid, and should see a doctor, and get Paxlovid. The only way to see a doctor quickly is via an urgent care, or an ER on a weekend. Then only one pharmacy carried it in Gainesville (I think).

I think they would have been ok otherwise, they never got extremely sick, but at this point it seems like everybody just shrugs like this whole thing isn’t a big deal, when for some people it could be.

Most doctors are not politicized. Unfortunately a majority trusted the cdc and fda to do the right thing. One of the most damaging things of this whole thing is that doctors are on an island now because they now know the cdc and fda pushed and agenda instead of honest good guidance.

Sadly you have yet to understand this. But most doctors do. It really stinks!!!

Sounds like you understand the experts know the shot is pointless now. But you recommend your parents take it.

It’s not me who continues to believe the propaganda. Do what you need to do. It is surprising you are one that still falls for it though.

And here we have a large study showing lockdowns of course didn't work. Only the covidiots still think they worked. Don't worry gang, the grifter will be along to try to explain away the data LOL.

Lockdown benefits ‘a drop in the bucket compared to the costs’, landmark study finds

The study’s authors conclude: “The science of lockdowns is clear; the data are in: the deaths saved were a drop in the bucket compared to the staggering collateral costs imposed.”

The detrimental impact of lockdown on children’s health and education, on economic growth and its contribution to large increases in public debt has become increasingly clear since the policy was introduced.

Cold is a catch-all for various symptoms. It is not a virus.

Beware of Disease X. We don't know what it is yet, but it is going to be worse than COVID. The World Health Organization said so. So, don't let your guard down. Be vigilant.

Don’t we have to get through ‘Covid’ before we face worse than that ? It’s called Covid-19 for a reason. We’re halfway through ‘23 and they’re masking up for the Tour de France and riders are not allowed to sign autographs.

What, no comments from the Lockdowners? Maybe when some of you posters start saying "I was wrong about lockdowns" people might actually take your covid thoughts seriously. But until that happens most will just ignore what you have to say.

Did lockdowns work? The verdict on Covid restrictions — Institute of Economic Affairs

    • COVID-19 lockdowns were “a global policy failure of gigantic proportions,” according to this peer-reviewed new academic study. The draconian policy failed to significantly reduce deaths while imposing substantial social, cultural, and economic costs.

Says Ladapo is a great surgeon general despite his fraudulent studies that left out key information and who was involved in a grifting scheme early on during Covid. Says Desantis is a great governor despite all the stuff coming out about him now that those of us without an agenda already knew, but we’re the ones falling for the propaganda. Do you even know the definition of the word? You literally fall for it every time you listen to anything Ladapo, our governor, or your biased right wing media tells you.

Please stop posting ignorant shit, there are people with actual backgrounds in science and medicine on this very thread that have pointed out endless amounts of time how wrong you are, and have provided the studies and research from unbiased sources to prove it. You’ve proven nothing except you can’t respond to any factual info without posting a dumbass laughing emoji reaction, or just saying “generational damage” and “propaganda” over and again. You’re a broken record my dude. If I was a mod, you would have been banned long ago for posting such blatant lies and disinformation.
