Baseball vs Texas Tech Mon 6/5, Noon

Looking back on the regional, I am awarding the MVP to Cade Fisher. His performance kept us in the regional, and it had to be inspiring to his teammates. Everything got better and better as he went further and further into the game. He gave us just what we needed, when we needed it. Slater did great today as well. I'm just so excited to see these pitchers step up the way they did.

As an old man speaking from my sofa, I thought it was important that everyone knew my opinion on things. Great job Gators! That was so fun to watch!

 

Did anyone ever imagine that UF would play in Regionals this year and post an ERA of 1.67.

Yep, 1.67 team ERA. 8 earned runs over 43 innings pitched in 5 games. Stunning considering this past season.

Baseball can be a funny sport. Team with mediocre pitching all season but with hammer hitting offense goes quiet at the plate but Koufax like in pitching.

 

I see Scott Carter corrected himself and changed it to Slater-who is Ryan Larson?

My wife called Ryan Larson "Smirks." One could see his bright white smile all the way from the outfield. Great kid. He got off the bus at BAMA (2017) to take a picture with my wife.

 

There were too many clutch plays by different Gators for me to make that judgment.

How many home runs did Jac rip-off?
BT Riopelle and his homers?
That crazy 3rd base play to save at least a double play in the first game against TTU?
The runs help us win game too, just like great pitching saves games.

Jac was voted MVP of the regional.

 

Today Kash was more like Loose Change. Every time he got an out I yelled "Good job Penny".
