Fall ball is going to be very interesting.

 

Cal two-way threat Sona Halajian has entered the transfer portal as a grad transfer. Halajian owns a career 4.18 ERA, with 23 wins & 204 career strikeouts. At the plate, she's a .292 career hitter w/ 22 home runs & 68 RBIs.

 

Courtney day of Texas and Lilli Backes of North Carolina enters the portal.

 

Probably a total coincidence but the last three good Florida softball players to enter the transfer portal were all catchers. Roe, Decker and Cottrell.

 

Wasn’t Sam paired up with Lexi pitching? It seemed like that is what I recall at any rate, which would obviously limit playing time in and of it self.

 

Kayla Beaver to Alabama. I wish we picked her up.

 

Too bad. We swung and missed last year getting a quality pitcher in the portal. It simply cannot happen this year.

 

Tim is heading to Ireland with the USA national team in July. I wonder if we will see commitments from the portal before he leaves for Ireland.

She hit .412, 22 HR, 67 RBI, .584 OB%. Played second base at Indiana.

 

Wow! I'm sure she'll end up in Norman.

 

CTW needs to strike gold a couple of times this summer. Crucial to next year's success, IMO.

 

we lost to Stanford and there is no shame in that. So we are only a few players short.

 

Definitely pitchers

 

At least 2 pitchers and a big bat or two. If Gigante doesn't transfer out, we have 9 players on the roster, 2 of whom have injury issues. Plus 6 incoming freshmen. D1 rosters have 20 players or more on their teams. Coach Walton has a lot of work to do over the next few weeks. No way 2 freshmen, no matter how good they are, can carry a team through an SEC season and post season. Need at least 2 quality pitchers to go with them. Again, most staffs have 5-6 pitchers and FSU has 7 this year.
