One correction on the article-Eric’s stats for Pullin were on a per-40 minute basis. Putting that aside, many posters here seem to be assuming that Clayton will be the starting point guard primarily because he signed first. Pullin’s stats are as good or better than Clayton’s stats, and Pullin did it against a tougher schedule. Plus, despite what a few posters have said to the contrary, Pullin is a pure point guard, and Clayton is a combo guard. It will be a luxury to have Pullin, Clayton, Richard and Kugel all on the team. It could elevate us to the upper echelon of the SEC. Let’s hope it happens.

That would be a disaster. He needs to get 15 mpg. That would leave 105 mpg for Pullin, Clayton, Richard and Kugel. That’s plenty.

Zyon is supposed to be on campus right now. Let’s hope for a commitment this weekend.

Hope he wants in and we make him flush with a good NIL, so he can come east.

No, but look at the analytics.

How many prospects in the transfer portal go back and commit with a team they first visited following future additional visits?

Almost none. I can't think of anyone.

One, it becomes a bidding war and ours is not an open checkbook.

Two, they get worn down by the process and forget about the enthusiasm they had for their first visit.

    Hope I am wrong.

I don’t know what the analytics are, but you could be right. Here’s how I look at it. Zyon is a mature kid. He will be a fifth year player. He has entered and withdrawn from the NBA draft twice, I believe. He is likely to be making an intelligent decision, rather than being overwhelmed by a campus, facilities, etc. He is looking for a school that will help him get into the NBA. Let’s look at his other choices. Gonzaga, which is a great program, will have Ryan Nembhard as the point guard. So, Zion would have to play the two at Gonzaga. Michigan, which has plenty of playing time for a point guard, is going to have a lousy program this year. LSU is throwing a bunch of players at the wall to see who sticks. Xavier has already signed two high-quality guards in the transfer portal. Florida does have some high quality guards on the team, but there appears to be plenty of opportunity to get playing time at the point on a team where he might be the missing link. NIL money is going to be a factor. I don’t know what he’s being offered by the different programs. However, Florida looks to me like it might be the best landing spot for him.

What school will be the best bet for showcasing his talent in both the regular season and especially the post season? College kids sometimes climb the draft boards with just a couple of good games in the NCAA tournament.

Unless he is convinced that UF will make the second weekend of the NCAA tournament he might go elsewhere.

If we’re talking about point guard skills, which, I believe, is the only position that he would have a chance at in the NBA, it seems to me that it’s the Gators.

The only question is, will we give him a strong-ass offer, or will they? It feels like this is the last major piece to get.

    Don't shoot the messenger.

Just saw online...as eastowest stated above, it is down to us and LSU. We are the "heavy leader" and in "a solid spot right now".

What???!!! But always have to worry about LSU bags.

No, 105 minutes is not enough to split up between 4 players... with at least two, and possibly three of which are presumed to be starters.

I would think an average of 26 minutes a game is plenty
