    Good grief
Both sides are taking something said in jest from the other side… knowingly in jest… and acting like it is the gospel truth of the other side

Okay, first off the discussion was about banning exotic dancers but your team, wanted to morph it into women walking down the street naked. Then with you guys being as obsessed with drag queens as you are, morphed the discussion into men dressed as women walking down the street naked which is pretty hard to do. I mean haw can a person be dressed and naked at the same time.

Now you’re saying it’s Republican men who dress up like women and are naked and dressed at the same time. I just think the human body is nothing to be ashamed of, but it’s your privilege to be ashamed of yours. If someone wants to pay to see nude women dancing then why shouldn’t they?

This is no different than the the religious right wanting to ban of the painting “Venus Rising” among others as being porn, or gay marriage leading people to marrying farm animals. They turn a legitimate discussion, or joke, into an absurdity and then try to argue the absurdity.

One of the many attacks on free speech and artistic expression by Republican bigots this year. DeSantis and his cronies are targeting drag entertainment down here too. BTW, the judge in this case was a Trump appointee.

There have been decency laws for centuries. Anyone who has gone to a strip club in Alachua county where they serve eggs and chicken fingers instead of beer knows how weird they are.

As long as they are decency and not artistic restrictions there should be no issues.

Given the small number of drag events and performers as part of the community, why is the LBTQ community pushing all these events lately? Or just publicized

Why do you think when the government tries to tell people they aren't allowed to protest that it makes them want to protest even more?

Agree with Aging. I don't want to see his Richard regardless of whether he's supporting the Republicans or Democrats. ;)

I dont know what laws they had before.

I know that have had nudity laws in my area for at least 15 years, well before there were any dragshows(in my area).

A few posts up you were stating you would be pointing and laughing, so it seems you’re no better than what you’re chastising him for.

That may be the angle they use. IDK.

Thanks for bringing that point up.

Hillsborough County: If you sell alcohol, a minimum of pasties and bottoms are required if zoned adult use, bras and bottoms if not so zoned. No alcohol with adult use zoning allows full nude.

The conservative in me likes less laws and less regulation. The market will fix most problems.
