Let’s just agree to disagree. You live you racist life, and I’ll live with my bigotry. The world will continue to revolve on its axis and FSU will still suck. Deal?
Produce one iota of evidence that I'm racist and I'll accept your proposal. For example, have I ever said anything like if I saw a racial minority working at Disney, would vI refuse to interact with the worker based on race? Because this would be an example of racist bigotry.
You called me a bigot, which clearly has racial overtones related to my morals. That is racist in my book. Not for me to judge you. I will leave that to a higher being.
Not here we aren’t. Can’t call anyone a racist only point out that they make racist statements. Which is pretty silly because the insinuation is clear.
Give it a couple more years. That cry is getting louder and louder within the LGB community to boot the T's, the Q's and the +'s out of the band. I've always wondered when this would happen, as it was an obvious attempt to hijack LGB, which is about sexual orientation, not gender dysphoria.
You have shown no racial bigotry. You have shown bigotry against trans people. Does that make you feel better?
How do you know that a child wouldn’t be disturbed deeply by interaction with a man in a dress? You seem awfully certain of yourself. And you can’t really know so maybe be careful about throwing around insults.
People have murdered others since the beginning of time. It’s clearly not right. Just because you can say there has always been weirdos around, doesn’t make them right. You’re flailing.
Because I would hope my child would not be disturbed by anyone's sartorial choices. Unless it was not age appropriate. And I wouldn't call a Fairy Godmother dress age inappropriate. Walk around Disney, and you're likely to see all kinds of people. Different hair colors. Tattoos. Piercings. Wardrobe choices. And more. How can you be sure your child won't be freaked out by any of it? The answer is simple. Teach diversity is not something to be feared and different isn't inherently good or bad. It's simply different. My kid sees a man and woman in the same outfit? They are going to treat them equally. As they should.
You don’t understand how humans were designed. People do judge others and we always will. You seem to think you can rewire our nature. Humans would never have survived without passing judgment on others and what they mean in differing environments. You are welcome to spend your time with your children in any environment you choose. But expect some to question your judgment. There will always be an element that people should be cautious and avoid. You want me to walk my family into a biker bar and pretend it’s safe when I can clearly see it’s not. Men who wear dresses poses the same kind of threat. These aren’t people I will lie to my children about and pretend they’re not a potential danger.
I get it… that is what you think. But my actions have nothing to do with your own racism towards me. You own that, not me.
OK. No more calling another poster a bigot or a racist. It's just name calling. Explain why you disagree and quit taking the cheap way out.
You have a small point. You for example are obviously deeply disturbed by your many encounters with men in dresses (which raises an interesting question). The answer lies in the fact that the child doesn’t not have the life experience to be a bigot. Unless maybe his or her parent(s) are raging bigots, which sadly is not uncommon.
Might want to check in on the Ron Desantis is a racist thread. We (at least some) are clearly allowed to call someone a racist and it is defended by the mods.
River Didn’t you defend calling Ron Desantis a racist in that it’s not lying it’s just an opinion? While I think calling anyone a racists without out hard evidence should be flat illegal due to the damage such a claim can cause, you seem to be playing both sides of the fence here (and in the other thread).
I find that thread boring because of course he is, so I haven’t been in it. I’ll have to jump in to check it out and see what I’m allowed to say. This place is so weird. Some rules are followed some aren’t. I’ve had a post deleted where I called some one a snowflake and the same poster called someone else a snowflake and it stood. I just posted a link to a heartwarming story about a Florida Congress critter and a rock bank speaking truth to power (can be found on Mediaite) and it was instantaneously deleted because reasons….. Speech is highly regulated here and many times the forum is worse for it.
I see what you're saying and maybe I'm wrong (it is, after all, my opinion ...) but we have to draw some limits here. Calling Biden senile is an opinion, so is me calling you senile. But if we start throwing those names at each other, the whole thing just spirals down into nothing nasty name-calling. It does take more thought to say "I disagree with you because ..." or "I think you're wrong because ..." than it does to say "yeah, well I'm not racist, you're the racist ..."
Yeah you’re making stuff up again I did a quick perusal of the thread and no one is calling another poster a racist. They’re calling Ron DeSatan a racist which is manifestly obvious along with his general bigotry and allowed by the rules of the board not to mention the First Ammendment.
