2023 NCAA Baseball Regionals Schedule/Scores/Discussion

3 or 4 possible upsets brewing tonight, even a couple of host teams with work to do. Keep your eyes on the scores as they come in.

 

Got a couple TVs set up, one with Squeeze Play on and the other I rotate between whatever is currently appealing. Currently watching WV outfielders make boneheaded errors.

Gotta say… this weekend is way better than opening weekend of the NCAA basketball tournament. Baseball might be the last major men’s sport that hasn’t been ruined. Yet.

That last sentence is worthy of best quote of the season. That's it for me in a nutshell. That said we have to agree NIL still is having a huge effect in today's game. NIL is only going to grow in a negative way for baseball unless some kind of restrictions are put in place. If I start reading about the Gators signing million dollar baseball players then I'll be done with this sport as well.

Big 10 3-0 today. Perhaps they do indeed play baseball in the great white north.

 

Maybe they will stop complaining about being disenfranchised by the "early" start of the season.

Penn destroying Auburn with small ball. Amazing. Just glad it’s not us.

 

Barners in their softball pajamas get whipped by the mighty Penn Quakers in 11, 6-3. LOL.

Penn pitching as advertised, but this just had bad vibe from the start. Hot bats to end season showed signs of cooling off in sect. And just due to lay an egg in regionals, after 9 straight in last 3.

Oh and then Samford won which pretty much sealed the deal. AU-USM will be ugly one way or another tomorrow. Id take the other ..

Those 3 perfectly placed bunts on 3 pitches....lol most teams cant get a sac down 1/10 trys.

That's 3 host teams losing on day 1. We all know how bad that feels. Alabama still with work to do. Now we wait to see who is the first host team to exit the tourney. Auburn is a likely candidate.

 

AU still has #1 & 2 , but dont disagree. Especially if not hitting.
