What's to answer? The graph speaks for itself. If you think it's saying something other than what coleg said, don't be coy, state another way to interpret it.

Coy didn’t say anything specific, so I am more interested in what he is suggesting . I don’t have a clue what his intention was.

Candidly, not that many people are paying enough attention to your questions to know whether they have been answered or not.

Is it the x axis or the y axis that you believe demonstrates how much in taxes the residents of any particular state pay. Also, do states pay taxes? If not, where is the data which shows how much red tax payers pay and how much blue tax payers pay. Finally, the big guestion- what point are you trying to make to my original post on working and paying taxes? Your chart allegedly shows tax income from taxpayers and businesses. It also allegedly compares that with Federal funds received. Florida has a large delta difference. Doesn’t that mean that Ron Desantis is kicking ass as Governor and getting a shit-load of federal funds for our infrastructure? I don’t think it is relevant in any way to my post. Strive to try harder next time. With practice you can better yourself. Next……

My question was which states. If your attention span is so limited then maybe some caffeine is in order.

I don’t feel like going googling at the moment but in the past I’ve seen data multiple times that show that blue states tend to have more federal taxes paid in relative federal dollars expended in the state. It’s fairly intuitive that some of the highest income states are blue states (CA, NY, IL, New England states) and poorer states tend to be red. Rural states are going to get disproportionately infrastructure vs population and income, farm states get farm aid, I suspect military bases are probably more concentrated in red states in terms of dollars spent per capita. Florida is kind of unique in you have a lot of old people collecting special security and Medicare.

    ok I googled

The States That Are Most Reliant on Federal Aid

Florida is ranked lower than I figured.
