Schumer is taking a massive victory lap right now and bashing republicans. Not sure this is what people wanna see, but it’s Washington.
GOP put itself in a no win situation by overselling how bad the budget is and what they can do about it. When you say its a disaster for America and then pass it with minor changes you look like.. well you look like the GOP. Even Fox can’t connect those dots. Fact is, it’s business as usual.

The cowardly part of it is that had the votes truly been needed they probably both would have voted yes. They hid behind the whole host of others who did the right thing.
Their lord Trump, who never saw a loan he wanted to make good on, is pro-default. So they were likely just following orders.
