I looked at a few teams and players that I am familiar with. Torvik has Ques Glover playing a little less than 7 mpg at BYU while it is almost a certainty that Glover will start at the point. Torvik also has St. John’s at #74 in the country although they have one of the best backcourts and one of the best big men in the country. They also go 13 deep and have Rick Pitino as their coach. So, some of Torvik’s analysis appears to be off the wall.

Is this ranking system new, or has it been put to the test in recent seasons?
Any system of measurement has value, it's just that it might have a way-off-the-mark value assigned to any particular category of value.
