Pre 9/11, I always had a pocket knife on me. Just a trait I picked up from my Grandfather, usually an old timer he passed down. Now that security is high and places will confiscate them I just leave them @ home.
I have a pocket knife in my car. Along with an old battery powered radio, a flashlight, some first aid stuff, etc.
Wow. That is really, really weak. You start the thread, you claim whether or not a person carries a knife "says something about you as a person" and then won't step up and say what you think it says. I'm certainly willing to say what I think carrying means about a person: Nothing. Sure, there are probably guys who carry them to feel macho but the great majority of men and women who carry pocket knives probably do it because they find they need it. I use to carry a very small one on my key chain but when I walked into the federal courthouse I realized that probably wasn't a good idea.
It’s another great thread. These guys and gals are responding exactly as I thought they would. They hate tradition and this thread demonstrates how quickly they become uncomfortable with old school white folks.
You are so correct!!! Just a handful of posts in the colors came right out!!! I thought I might actually be able find some common ground and actually was surprised about a few but most are just like Old Faithfull!!
Was that so hard? Lol Why the rest of the libbies got freaked out with a simple question is so crazy.
You come across as a very insecure person. It’s why you get called out as a weak moderator so much. This thread didn’t have to be so difficult. You certainly did your part to make it weird.
I carried one for years but many moons ago. A Barlow pocket knife. Since I got my gun there’s no room in my pocket for a knife anymore.
