Okay, we know what it's like when leftists draw the line, and you're about to find out where conservatives draw the line. Have fun.
A person of quality should be be afraid of others seeking equality. Just like Rosa Parks didn't want to sit on the back of the bus, neither should Pride clothing be forced to be sold only in the back of the store. And if a man wants to play Fairy Godmother's assistant in a dress at Disney, as long as he doesn't do anything inappropriate, why shouldn't we treat him the same as a woman playing the same role? And the left using McCarthyism tactics? That's funny. Where's the blacklist of people that can't shop at Target or go to Disney, and are going to be called before Congress to explain their bigotry? If you want to be a bigot and prejudiced against trans people, that's your right. But you shouldn't be able to force them not to be trans, and they should be allowed equal treatment under the law. And those of us who wish to treat them equally aren't going to conform to your dictated social norms, because we believe them to be bigoted.
I'm human and have failings, but I try to remain unprejudiced as possible. That includes all people. Even those whom you describe as "normal." And I probably fit into your definition of normal. I'm male, been married to a woman for 26 years, no piercings, and no tattoos. Why would I be a bigot against myself?
No it’s definitely not like 60 years ago. But it seems like a lot of the libbies still act like it is. Perhaps you were born in the wrong era.
I was making a joke. Normal is a tough thing to nail down, especially nowadays. I was poking fun at how easy it is to call someone a bigot.
The worst purveyor of racism and bigotry in this country are actual racists and bigots. But the largest scale AND most influential purveyor of racism and bigotry in this country are people who turn everything they don't like into a race or bigotry issue which actually trivializes those terms and those problems.
Been to New Orleans plenty of times, been to drag shows and enjoyed them. It doesn't bother me that some dude wants to dress up in a dress. What bothers me is one of the most magical innocent fun places in the country for CHILDREN, is pushing the trans agenda. This was not some act in the park. This was a dude with a mustache in a dress at a little girl's dress shop showing little girls dresses. If that doesn't bother you and you can't see a difference, then there is not much more to discuss.
Even without the trans debate, this is such a weird thing to say. "I’m here to shop you around and make all your selections for the day."
https://www.cato.org/commentary/conservatives-civil-rights-then-now this old piece sums it up nicely fight progress kicking and screaming all you want.
So let me get this straight. You went out of your way to take your children to see a naked stranger on the Santa Fe River?
The trans dude is peddling $450 princess dresses, not drinking/smoking in public, barfing in the streets, and yelling at people to show their privates.
Women can certainly be heroes. Does anyone here have a problem with Ms. Marvel? So why can't men be a princess if he wants to be? If a guy wearing a dress wants to help my daughter have a good time in a Disney store, I still don't understand why this is a big deal.
