Florida to face Michigan in 2023 Jumpman Classic 2023 Jumpman Invitational Games Tuesday, Dec. 19 Women: North Carolina vs. Oklahoma Men: Florida vs. Michigan Wednesday, Dec. 20 Women: Florida vs. Michigan Men: North Carolina vs. Oklahoma
It pays big dividends if we win and doesn't hurt much if we lose. That said, we can't go out and lose to all our quality non-conference foes.
the same four schools played in Charlotte last year. We are swapping Oklahoma for Michigan. Next year, we will draw UNC
We are one of the big boys. Tell me what Michigan has won to be seen as a big boy in comparison to UF.
Both have been National Champs in men's basketball. Both have been National Champs in football. I think that both have been National Champs in baseball but it might have been a long time ago for Michigan. Early 1960's? But Michigan has been the National Champs in ice hockey and UF hasn't. LOL.
UF’s championships are starting to get long in the tooth, but Michigan’s are ancient. Ours were much more recent, however, and they were multiple. We’ve had five total football and basketball championships since they had their last one. No way they are a big boy and we aren’t.
This is going to be a hard test, but I like our quality depth. Our problem is settling on a core group to get it done. Tremendous amount of additions are going to learn to play with their strengths and learn their talented team-mates strengths, and make sure we have go to people in crunch time. With this much talent, we will have to see in tough game situations, what defenses good teams will throw at us. Either way, when we had Horford, Noah and Brewer, I was excited. This team, if it comes together early with no injuries, we Gator fans will have a team that could rival that squads success. Video clips and stats are great, but a team that has jelled playing together, is what propels final four teams. Let’s get it done Gators!
