Or, you could say I choose social involvement wisely and with much higher discernment because my choices directly affect my progeny.
    It’s that simple guys.

I called out the posters in here who acted like it wasn’t a big deal. That’s when I got real.

That you didn’t find a man in a dress helping children shopping for dresses inappropriate.
    You’re consistently disingenuous.
    I appreciate that about you.

A wise man once said judge a person not by the color of his skin, but the content of his character. I'd extend that to say don't judge by outward appearance on any level, including clothes, tattoos, piercings, etc. If you think a man in a dress is automatically a pedophile, then you should do some soul searching and try to understand your own prejudices. Because the last time I looked, pedophiles come in all shapes, colors, and dress sizes. It would be nice if all pedos had a scarlet P tattooed on their foreheads, but look at the stats, and a pedo is just as likely, if not more likely to be wearing a cassock or a scout uniform than a dress.

And I honestly don't care who helps my kids shop. Are they nice, knowledgeable, and helpful and in no way inappropriate? Then color, creed, cloths, tattoos, piercings, etc., are all just dressing on the outside. I'm more worried about the content of the character inside.

I hate Disney from start to finish. Over priced, over crowded, and dates rides. But I’ve felt that way for over a decade…
As for the new pushback from the right
Could it be the new push to include men dressing like women in every aspect of our lives?
Athletics .. these men should be allowed to compete against girls, it’s not fair to exclude them
In bathrooms and locker rooms… these men should be allowed to dress and use the restroom just like the rest of the women.
To the point where some are claiming the men can be mothers, they need fair access to tampons, and no one should question it.
I think the push to normalize the trans community to the point of diminishing the role of biologic women is where the biggest push back is coming from.
Amazingly so many on this thread alone have stated that conservatives should just go live their simple lives how they want and let everyone else alone.
It’s the same way conservatives feel about the 2A - it’s their right to own and bare arms and if they do so without breaking laws then leave them alone and mind your own damn business.

Wait, you seriously don't understand the difference between a gun, which could be used to kill you and a dress, which can't?

    Cool
Would you agree that we should judge an individual based upon their character and their accomplishments and not their skin color, gender identity, sexual preference and religion when it comes to jobs, promotions, scholarships, etc… or does that only work in certain given situations you happen to approve of?

I know personal attacks aren't allowed on the board, so I hope it isn't nixed. Mods, he has my permission if that matters. But to confirm you think I'm a shitty parent cause this doesn't bother me? Or you think I'm lying that it doesn't bother me?

    Weird
My guns have never come close to killing me… never come close to killing anyone on this board. And I own many different types and calibers for many different reasons. All perfectly safe and sound.
So how about I leave everyone else alone and they leave me and my constitutional rights alone?
    Hmm
    And when
My guns hurt someone you can react and when a trans man hurts someone i care about I can react.
We can all call the police. Sound fair?

Not every guy that wears a dress is gay or trans and not every dress wearing man is a pedo. You're more likely to find a pedo wearing a men's suit leading the kid's ministry at a church than a dress wearing Disney cast member

I do think there are bad parents who wouldn’t even notice there was a dude in a dress trying to sell to little girls.
I can’t know your heart. And why do you even care what I think?

It is not funny. Did you think this was a drag queen?
Another wonderful take about placing weirdos around little children.

Ironically, transphobia is fueled by mainstream infotainment media and yet, conservatives are prone to dismissing media due to bias. This trend is confounding.

In a perfect world, yes. In the world we live in, there are still too many unfair advantages for some groups that make thing inherently unfair. I'd love to live in a world where Affirmative Action wasn't necessary because all people truly judged people based on the content of their character, and everyone had equal opportunity. But we don't live in that world. We're still recovering from many prejudiced practices from Jim Crow, segregation, red lining, etc. Things are certainly better than they were 50 years ago, but things can still get a lot better.

And @Orange_and_Bluke, I'm curious, why does a man in a dress really trigger your fear response? If you see a Catholic Priest out in public, does that trigger a similar response as well? Or would you give him the benefit of the doubt at first and get to know him better before judging him? Especially knowing it was only a small percentage of priests that were pedophiles. And if yes, why would you not give the man in a dress the same courtesy?

Guess the right is going to have to cancel Star Trek too. Just check out the dress uniforms. Guess they are just grooming all of us for the future!

As a parent, yes, I would notice that there was a guy in a costume dress trying to sell a dress to my daughter. But I wouldn’t be offended. Nor would I care that the guy was trying to make money working in the silly costume.

No, I would not let the guy go in a closed room and help her try on the dress. Nor would I let some unknown woman help my daughter dress. In fact, I’m pretty confident Disney doesn’t allow it’s characters to help children, behind closed doors, dress and undress.

To be sure, notwithstanding the over-the-top histrionics on this thread, the only thing I’d be scared about is my daughter asking me if I would actually buy her the dress, which would be exponentially overpriced.
