Butler, Bam and a bunch of no names just crushed #2 seeded Celtics 103-84 in Boston in gm 7 to win the NBA East . Celtics won a last second thriller in gm 6. Quite a story since the Heat who is an #8 seed earlier beat #1 seeded Milwaukee. Spo is a heck of a coach. Kudos to UD and the team. Next up Denver.
In Finals 7 times since 2006. Great org. First 8 seed in many years. Playing well. Unlikely enough to beat Nuggets unless they have an injury.
Hopefully UD goes out with another ring. Denver is a juggernaut but this Heat team believes they can beat anyone. Tyler Herro‘s looming return should give some extra scoring punch.
Herro is not expected back until game 3 at the earliest. And really, his return comes with huge question marks. Whose minutes does Herro take? Herro can’t play the point at all, and is a turnover machine in the backcourt. He can’t play defense. And Caleb Martin is playing both ends of the Court as well as anyone in the the League right now. Maybe Duncan, but to Duncan’s credit, he is playing much better off the ball than his entire career right now. I suppose any team can use a scoring punch that Herro provides, but he does come with known liabilities.
The Heat have got me interested in the NBA for the first time in a decade. Spo is a hell of a coach and you have to love how Riley has built the organization. Was disappointed when he let Wade leave. At least he brought him back to retire from the Heat.
The team is in an unbelievable groove right now so they would be foolish to drastically alter the rotation, but if Herro is cleared and ready to go you can give him some PT if one of their guards gets hurt (which has happened a ton this playoff run between Herro, Oladipo, Vincent) or in foul trouble. Alas, Spo will figure it out. He always does.
Thought some of the same things when they threw a blurb on the screen about his possible return by game 3. As good as this group has been on the floor, who’s minutes do you pull? The Heat just seem to by in rhythm & in sync, and you’d hate to see them lose that.

I don’t think there’s anyone on Miami’s roster that can stop Jokic. Too big, too many moves, too good of a passer. He excels at being a triple threat. It’ll be interesting to see what the Heat Staff come up with.
Nobody in the league can stop Jokic. For someone to be that physically imposing yet be that nimble with elite footwork is truly uncanny. I suspect the Heat will let him get his stats and focus on slowing down Murray and Co.
