Yeah, playing against anyone else I would say I hope we win. Playing against the holes we HAVE to win!

 

It’s the number of holes to play and the number someone is ahead.
So 6&5 means someone was up 6 up with five to play, so at that point the match is over because the person behind can’t catch up.

 

I went and looked this up too cause I had no clue..thanks! Learned a lot from everyone today..golf makes me nervous
