Masters of false equivalency. They always find some tiny little example of something the other side did that makes it ok that their side did it.
We all know that the ones that voted for Trump twice will vote for him a third time if he wins the nomination regardless of how much they are bashing him right now
Fair statement. I see that here. It’s generally used as a reply when someone’s preferred candidate is attacked. You’re not implying that Tilly, myself, and others that defend Trump are the only ones here doing this are you? And back to the point of this thread, I am referring to todays events. We had a candidate post a stupid tweet equivocating those we honor with himself fighting his political battles. And we had a sitting president equivocating those who’ve given their lives with his political allies who are always “fighting”against some injustice somewhere, replete with raised voice, angry looks, and shaking fists. Both can kiss my ass. Since they couldn’t do it themselves, I would tell both of them to STFU and remember what THIS day is really about.
Yeah exactly. Biden said nothing absolutely offensive other than maybe bring his son Beau up again which triggers the elk. It’s pathetic and I personally find him pathetic for it.
They’re clearly hedging their bets, Fat Ronnie is their first option and Trump is still the backup plan. They fully, loudly and proudly supported Trump for 2 elections despite his immaturity and boorishness, and him tweeting garbage almost every day for years. Remember how much they used to say “I love him because he tells it like it is” and mock the left for being offended by some tweets, now suddenly they’re the ones clutching their pearls at his tweets lol.
It is a moot point about what previous supporters of Trump will do during an election when it is manifestly obvious that he is not capable of winning on the national stage any longer.
Bullshit. And you wouldn't say anything to anybody...what a joke. From the article l-boy linked: "President Biden mourned his late son Beau in Memorial Day remarks at Arlington National Ceremony, sharing the pain of loss with those who've had family members die in service to the nation. "We must never forget the price that was paid to protect our democracy. Must never forget the lives these flags, flowers and marble markers represent. A mother or a father, a son or a daughter, a sister, a spouse, a friend, an American," Biden said. Monday. "Every year we remember and every year it never gets easier." "To all those here and across the nation who are grieving, loss of a loved one who wore the uniform, our Gold Star families, for all those with loved ones still missing, unaccounted for: I know how painful it can be, how it can reopen that… rip open that black hole in the center of your chest. You feel like you're just sinking in," Biden said. "The hurt is still real. It's still raw." "Tomorrow marks eight years since we lost our son, Beau. Our loss, we are not the same. He didn't perish on the battlefield. It was cancer that stole him from us a year after he deployed as a major in the United States Army National Guard in Iraq. As it is for so many of you, the pain of loss is with us every day, but particularly sharp on Memorial Day," he continued. Ronnie's 6 week abortion ban means he can't win on the national stage. His own donors were talking about their concerns regarding it at one of the latest Desantis donor dinners
That might make sense if there was a remote possibility that as President he'd even get a 6 week abortion ban law on his desk.
Can you reproduce what he exactly said? Nobody else including conservative media seems to be worked up over it.
And note that he says the war dead's sacrifice was for the country "they" loved, not the country "we" love. Something subliminal there? If he loved this country, he wouldn't be trying to overthrow an election, tell the Republicans "do a default," or keep the country's classified documents in his tourist resort for the fun of it or (more likely) as bargaining chips with any interested foreign autocrats.
I'm just wondering why Victor Orban is just so important to you. I mean, like, really important to you. There are 196 some odd world leaders to choose from, not counting former world leaders. Is Orban running for office somewhere? Why are you so consumed with knowing what I personally think of him? Here's my answer:
