You are aware that my post was a direct response to a post in which Trump was mentioned by name? Maybe instead using his name I should have referred to him indirectly by using alternative descriptions like "the Orange One" or "the defeated former president".

But you were compelled to reply about it….again.
It’s cool man. I just find it interesting how obsessed you have become.

Reading through old comments on this thread and not wanting to start a whole topic on it but I have to ask, where is Mutz? Sorry for the off topic question.

I promise not to mention him for at least 30 days if he remains publicly silent (including social media posts) for a single day. As long he remains the favorite for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination and a possibility to do what only one other candidate for the presidency has done in American history (in case you do not recall your American history the other was Grover Cleveland who was elected to the presidency in 1884, lost in 1888 and was elected again in 1892) he remains a fair subject for discussion. Just my opinion he should have had the dignity to behave like Jimmy Carter did after he was defeated in 1980 and George H.W. Bush did after his defeat in 1992. Unfortunately for the country thanks to his Narcissistic Personality Disorder he was and still is incapable of admitting defeat and still loves the adulation and opportunity to grift off the poor suckers who continue to support him.

You can’t hide from your mistakes. Especially when that mistake is the leading GOP candidate for the presidency. We know you’d like us to pretend otherwise.

Let’s not forget the DNC blackballed Bernie in the 2016 primary, which is a big reason the Bernie Bros stayed home for the general.

The latest right Wing Catholic politics trying to make sure the next Conclave does not produce another Francis by trying to dig up background dirt on the Cardinal electors in advance.

This is not just a Catholic issue. They were able to get a well-funded (in excess of $1 million) effort to hire private detectives based upon a lot of US money, likely Opus Dei, closely aligned with the seat of political power. They are every bit as ruthless hateful and reactionary as their secular counterparts

Armari is still a vile integralist, but its pretty interesting he's taken a turn lately against the obsession with "woke" on the right. Seems there are right-wingers who are like "uh what are we even talking about anymore."

(I realize this has nothing to do with your post - I just saw his name in the old one)

No, I follow him intently. As grotesque as his worldview is, he is first and foremost an intellectual and does have a vision of the common good. He might favor the death penalty for drag queens, but only after due process in an ecclesiastical tribune and a chance to repent. Nothing too coarse.

But make no mistake - they will make common cause with the Evangelicals to get what they want. But first they need a new Pope - too confusing with this one that keeps undermining their autocratic message
