Round 1 today, UF went off in the morning group...I noticed none of the top 6 seeds were in the morning session. So UF needs to be in a good place among the early 15 UF wraps at +3 for the round. Kress continues to struggle, they dropped his +6 score but had to count Lin's +3. Of the morning groups....Ga Tech finished even par, Pepperdine +1, Arky is almost done and +1, UF +3 and FSU +4. So UF 4th in the morning group. Not a disaster but not really where they need to be either. Top 8 is the key, have to hope the afternoon groups encounter tougher conditions.
UF was as low as 19th....but the afternoon groups are falling back. About midway and UF tied for 10th, only 3 strokes out of first. I'm guessing uf ends up around 6-9 after day 1

Their afternoon tee time tomorrow will be their test. Gotta survive it and finish top 15 to get to go off in the morning for day 3.
Illinois the big winner this morning, -7 round and they now sit -2 after 2 rounds. Pretty much everyone else was over par, good teams were generally close to par. Vandy probably the big loser of the contenders with a +8. UF early on the front nine, -1 and currently in 4th place at +2. +5 is the magic 8th place spot....but there will be a lot of movement this afternoon. The round 2 cut line for top 15 is currently +12 Miss St was at the top of the board for a while yesterday, now +24. Texas was sparring with UF last week , they are in 29th palce at +28
Holding steady at even as they reach the turn, still in 4th Kress is a train wreck so it's all on the 4 seniors. Kress hasn't maintained his game after SEC tournament, probably should have subbed him out

Couple of late birdies has UF alone in 2nd...really solid day 3 out of the lead, but most important 11 strokes ahead of 9th place and the final cut line.

Leaders are out on the course...still very early. Illinois -1 for the day (-3 overall), UF even (+1 overall), UNC making an early move at -4 and only one shot back of UF now. FYI, Illinois is ranked 3rd and UNC 2nd...top ranked Vandy in 6th at +10 overall. Top 9 teams are all on the course....everyone is even early, other than UNC and Illinois
Amazing how close to form the rankings are looking....7 of the top 9 ranked teams are in the top 9. #11 GT and #16 Virginia the 2 overachievers. #6 Stanford in 13th and #5 Texas Tech in 16th are the underachievers
UF had sole lead for a blink, but Kress and Lin both bogeyed the 7th. UF -2 for the day and tied with Illinois for first place at -1 UNC one stroke back, on fire at -6 for the day

Everybody well into the back nine, uf and Illinois both -4 on the day. Unc -9 and have tied uf in 2nd place. Most of the top teams have comparable rounds other than unc....fsu is 3 over on the day and down to 12th
UF almost done, 4 under....which is pretty much the same as all the other leaders. UNC was -9 but came back to -5. Pepperdine went unconcious and was -13 today, now -12 and in 2nd one shot aead of UF UF at -3 overall, Illinois leads at -6 Cut line for 8th place/match play is currently +12
