This guy strikes our side out . We haven’t hit the ball in the last few games . One guy really and that’s it . The swings are just silly. No plan of attack by the hitter except swing as hard as possible and pull everything
Agree. But keeping Bradfield off the bases is step on in beating Vandy- can't give one away on a ball hit right at you.
Gotta go ahead and get someone else out there tonight. that being said… Again, very disappointed we were not ready to play tonight. It’s apparent by our approach at the plate that we were not ready to play. Everybody wants to point to defense and things of that nature but the first inning should’ve got it at least a run and we had a base runner very hesitant on an easy dirt ball and then we had guys at the plate taking fastballs right down the heart. The problem or the challenge is today we cannot hit a 90 mile an hour fastball and we all should have seen this coming as without BT we’re not even be this far along. Too many others have sit back and watch pitches go by in this tournament and not produced.
Losing to well hit doubles and HRs is one thing. Losing for boneheaded errors, walks, HBPs, etc is another. I get that this tournament and game is meaningless but still frustrating.
You can give up a run… You just can’t give up five especially with our approach at the plate. I am asked concerned with the approach at the plate as anything else. Without BT we would have already been eliminated from the tournament. Almost everybody else has struggled. We are struggling with a freshman, making his first start tonight
Watch fastballs go by and then cannot hit 89. No problem with getting behind and even losing the game but it’s the way it is occurring which is problem.
Agreed..if they got those base runners got on by hits, even a walk run ..but 2 errors, hbp and a wild pitch got most of those runs...
