Poll: 63 Percent Believe Trump-Russia Smear Was ‘Hit Job,’ (breitbart.com)

Two-thirds of voters believe former President Donald Trump was the target of a political “hit job” over allegations that his campaign colluded with Russia, and a majority want the FBI officials involved “criminally prosecuted,” according to a Rasmussen poll released after Special Counsel John Durham released his report on the origins of Russiagate.

Sixty-three percent of voters told Rasmussen they believe the Trump-Russia narrative was a political “hit job,” orchestrated by Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

Durham’s report criticized several high-level FBI officials for participating in the “Crossfire Hurricane” investigation, including Deputy Director Andrew McCabe and Deputy Assistant Director for Counterintelligence Peter Strzok.

The Rasmussen survey found that 59 percent want the agents involved in the Trump-Russia investigation “criminally prosecuted” for their actions.

It's refreshing to see that the majority Americans are truly realizing how dangerous the left has become and will stop at nothing to retain power

So you think it's a good thing that 59% of people want FBI agents criminally prosecuted, even though Durham didn't find any cause for prosecution despite desperately pursuing every avenue trying to do so?

Awesome smear campaign since it netted 34 indictments, and someone forgot to even mention it prior to the election...

Just for grins, why don’t you go look up how many of those indictments were related to the actual subject of the Mueller investigation?

I recall a bunch of Russians and allies of Trumps who tried to lie to the FBI to cover it all up ...

Just for grins, why don't you explain how a "smear campaign" works when no one bothered to mention it until a month after the election ...

I think we can source smear all we want, but the underbelly of this poll is not good for the country.

Citizens wanting law enforcers arrested when a neutral special prosecutor (who may even be somewhat right leaning) found no cause is unhealthy for all of us, whether the poll was taken by Rasmussen, MSNBC or anyone in between.

Gets to the heart of our fundamental lack of trust in the institutions that are supposed to safeguard us, who, through their own actions or otherwise have caused that trust to be eroded.

And it’s simply bad for all of us when that happens-problem is most people don’t take the time to think about it that way while putting on a clean “team” shirt every day.

Lieing to the FBI was a crime during the investigation, not a crime that was being investigated.

A good smear campaign is not going to be evident until well after its damage is done. This was a very well executed smear campaign. Those that wanted to participate had plenty of plausible deniability. Durham found the the trail, but everyone on it had enough plausible deniability to avoid any prosecution.

My hat is off to these people for getting away with it. They can’t be charged, but I really don’t want them running the DOJ.

This is a joke right? Or you didnt read the question that was asked:

"2* Special Counsel John Durham recently completed an investigation that found the FBI was aware Hillary Clinton’s campaign was the source for claims about Trump and Russian collusion, which had no basis in evidence. Should FBI officials involved in promoting the false Russia-Trump claims be criminally prosecuted?"

I find the lazy research you do on threads tiring.

lol… yeah… people who lie during an investigation are probably completely innocent, so nothing to worry about, I mean, it’s not like they were not lying about meeting with Russians, or anything…. Oh wait… that’s exactly what Flynn lied about… You crack me up.

Its pretty funny that they asked the equivalent of "if this sandwich touched poo would you still eat it" and still close to 40% wasn't an immediate no

    Thanks for posting that.
The follow-up question wasn't much better considering they were just read #2.

    The one you quoted:
2* Special Counsel John Durham recently completed an investigation that found the FBI was aware Hillary Clinton’s campaign was the source for claims about Trump and Russian collusion, which had no basis in evidence. Should FBI officials involved in promoting the false Russia-Trump claims be criminally prosecuted?

    The next one:
3* Do you agree or disagree with this statement: The Russian collusion charge against Trump “was a well-orchestrated hit job by the Clinton campaign and government officials”?

Dial in the fact the Mueller Report found significant and substantiated evidence of multiple instances of collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign and one is left with the inescapable conclusion someone paid Rasmussen off to ask these exact questions OR Rasmussen in run by idiots.
