guess his retainer ran out and the bill didn't get paid or he wanted to spend more time with his family or he realized he didn't want to hire an attorney for himself..

Trump lawyer abruptly leaves his defense team (msn.com)

CNN reports that attorney Tim Parlatore abruptly decided to step down as a Trump defense lawyer this week, although he insists that his decision is personal and not related to any issues related to his work for the former president.

"Parlatore’s departure became official Tuesday, though it had been rumored for several weeks among the former president’s inner circle," reports CNN. "The high-profile departure comes as special counsel Jack Smith appears to be in the final stretch of investigations into the possible mishandling of classified documents and efforts to obstruct the 2020 election."

Trump’s Lawyers Send Cryptic Letter to Merrick Garland to ‘Request a Meeting at Your Earliest Convenience’

    Dear Attorney General Garland:

We represent Donald J. Trump, the 45th President of the United States, in the investigation currently being conducted by the Special Counsel’s Office. Unlike President Biden, his son Hunter, and the Biden family, President Trump is being treated unfairly. No President of the United States has ever, in the history of our country, been baselessly investigated in such an outrageous and unlawful fashion. We request a meeting at your earliest convenience to discuss the ongoing injustice that is being perpetrated by your Special Counsel and his prosecutors.

Right out of trump’s fevered brain. I would bet good money this letter is something the client demanded and not something the lawyer thought was a good idea.

What would be hilarious is if he agreed to the meeting and then sent some intern to take care of it.

No lawyer who had any self respect (or any other prospective clients) would ever write that and if they did they wouldn’t write it in the voice of an aggrieved elementary school student…

I have no doubt those are Trump’s words. The question is what lawyer in his right mind would SIGN something so laughable. I hope these guys got paid up front, at least, for destroying their careers.

Although there were undoubtedly other factors I wonder if the letter was among the reasons in Tim Parlatore's decision to resign from Trump's defense team.

I continue to be appalled by this vile man. He needs to never see outside of a prison STAT. Let’s MAGA by putting him in a dark solitary dungeon is my reasonable position! I am absolutely convinced he sold this stuff or planned to before he was interrupted, to our enemies. We haven’t executed any one for treason since the Rosenbergs taken everything together he’s no better. Unfortunately we’ll never find out the details and his life will be spared so I’ll never get the satisfaction of seeing such a trial in my lifetime.

Prosecutors Investigating Whether Trump Staff Had ‘Dress Rehearsal’ to Hide Boxes of Mar-a-Lago Documents From Feds

Prosecutors also have gathered evidence that even before Trump’s office received the subpoena in May, he had what some officials have dubbed a “dress rehearsal” for moving government documents that he did not want to relinquish, people familiar with the investigation said.

The term “dress rehearsal” was used in a sealed judicial opinion issued earlier this year in one of several legal battles over the government’s access to particular witnesses and evidence, some of the people said. It was used to describe an episode when Trump allegedly reviewed the contents of some, but not all, of the boxes containing classified material, these people said.

At the time, Trump and his legal team were engaged in a back-and-forth with the National Archives and Records Administration over whether he had taken from the White House records and property that were supposed to stay with the government. That dispute over presidential records is what ultimately led to the discovery of classified documents at Mar-a-Lago — some of them highly sensitive, including information about a foreign country’s nuclear capabilities; Iran’s missile system; and intelligence gathering aimed at China.

But we were told Trump was cooperating with the Feds...LOL! Trump moving the docs at MAR is classic obstruction. Trump knew his having the docs was illegal. He knew the Feds had asked for their return, and knew where the docs were originally stored at MAR. Trump purposely moving them was an attempt to hide them from the Feds should they come knocking. In other words, obstruction, which also goes a long way in proving original guilt.

If the Feds can prove Trump used the docs to help profit in foreign business deals, and he obstructed in the return of said docs, how can anyone still support this criminal who defaced the Office of President?

The fact that he had them moved the day before the search tells me that someone tipped him off that they were coming. I really hope they smoke that rat out

There is absolutely no doubt that Trump had advance warning considering that he invited the press to cover the "raid" and delivered a speech claiming victimization either during the search or immediately thereafter.

Donald Trump's Lawyers Begin To Turn On Each Other And Russian-Born Advisor: 'He's A Complete Psycho' (msn.com)

Partially behind-closed-doors infighting has enveloped Trump’s legal team, according to a report from The Daily Beast, with the 45th president’s lawyers clashing with each other. The atmosphere is made more hostile by the fact Trump is embroiled in multiple lawsuits, was formally charged earlier this year and may be facing three more indictments over the coming days.

At the center of the conflict is Boris Epshteyn, a close advisor to Trump, who acts as an intermediary, according to some sources who spoke to the publication. “Everybody hates him. He’s a toxic loser. He’s a complete psycho,” said one source, referring to the Russian-born advisor, who has maintained a position in Trump’s inner circle in the lead-up to the 2024 election.

The Conflict: Epshteyn, who refers to himself as “in-house counsel,” according to The Daily Beast, is the reason Tim Parlatore, one of Trump’s lawyers in the classified documents case, recently quit. “Boris pissed off all the Florida lawyers. People are dropping like flies,” the source told the publication, adding “He’s got daddy issues, and Trump is his daddy.”

The departure came following a meeting at Mar-a-Lago in April, where several of Trump’s legal representatives said they would depart if Epshteyn stayed. While four of the publication’s sources agreed that Epshteyn blocked communication between Trump and his defense attorneys, one source claimed the former president's lawyers are able to obtain Trump’s ear, although the person agreed Epstheyn screens and coordinates Trump’s communications.
