Glamorizing transgenderism is another cultural issue, but I don't think that comes up here provided that it isn't offered for kids.

People are probably upset that Target is playing into mass mental illness of the sort which has men forcing their way into women’s restrooms.

 

Pretty sure that was just icing on the cake after the fact

 

We are in yet another episode where a group wants to deny legal equality through violence. Not as violent as past episodes but still violent rejection of the law

 

Now I understand what happened this past weekend at the local Target. Last Sunday, I was in Target late in the afternoon. The store was fairly empty and I picked up a few things for my rehabbing dog. Pet section is all the way at the back of the store. On my way back up to the front, there were several employees and shoppers huddled around a display. I walked by and could see that it was the "PRIDE" display near the front of the store that had everyone's interest. The mannequin in the middle of the display had a dirty MAGA red hat on its head and the "Kill'em All" bumper sticker (and I am pretty sure this was the Metallica Album Cover bumper sticker) slapped on the mannequin covering the word PRIDE on the shirt. Two patrolmen were entering the store as I vacated.

I thought: "That was weird and somewhat random". Now the timing of it makes more sense.

This is the misinformation crap I am talking about. You can tell the posters that gorge on it daily. I'm glad your post was immortalized. I wager you didn't learn your lesson at all and will jump in without facts again.

 

I expect we will see lots of fretting and dismay over property destruction and vandalism from conservatives, the worst crimes imaginable from what I'm led to believe.

 

You mean like you pretended like the DeSantis-Disney war started after getting re-elected, or the reason DeSantis won by almost 20 points was because of gerrymandering.

I'll admit when I'm wrong. And to be honest, I technically didn't say anything wrong. I did hear that they offered it to kids, that rumor just turned out to be incorrect, so I didn't want to continue to spread a rumor that is apparently false without evidence.

You keep it up, and you'll have a warm spot waiting for you at the kids table along with JJ.

 

The only ones upset are the Walmart shoppers who are planning to boycott Target. It's not like they shop at Target anyway

 

Maybe OT, but I think the difference between acceptance of others and glamorization often gets lost.

 

Did they outlaw shopping in slippers that ones feet are tucked into?
