Already here and they go hard ALL the time. That's great news. Fresh 'Bigs' Check In Early - Florida Gators
His name is not pronounced Hawk. Howk might work. Attached is a short clip of the kid running the floor. For those of you who aren’t happy that we signed him, you might want to consider changing your minds. thomas haugh - Google Search
I'm just saying what Chris Harry reported. But that is what willygator chooses to give me "Come on, Man" emoji for. To which I say, "Come on, man."
I suspect knocking each other on the floor isnt really indicative of their play and at some point shall be tempered and refined so the physicality isn't a trip to the foul line. They have plenty of time to learn and grow coming out of HS.
thanks for posting. Both sound like they have an inner drive and want to be better. Condon to me sounds like a Noah 2.0 in the making. His father as a top Aussie Rules player must have raised him to be a killer, and at 6'11 and clearly not afraid of contact, he could be exactly what we need...at least in practice early on until he can put some more size/muscle on. Can't wait to see how these two look after the summer workouts. Seems like both have the potential to be good finds for Golden and team.
"Both were considered late-bloomers in their development. Now as true freshmen playing Division I basketball, their projected impact, at least externally, probably is tempered. That's fine. Additional front court help is on the way in the form of a trio of seasoned transfers in 6-11 fifth-year Tyrese Samuel (by way of Seton Hall), 6-8 grad-transfer EJ Jarvis (Yale) and 7-1 sophomore Micah Handlogten (Marshall). They'll be here soon enough" Man I am liking the sound of this. We're 20% taller than last year already.
Keep hearing very good things about the kid from Australia, again he had some NBA teams thinking about drafting him and stashing in a league overseas and they from what I understand dont do that unless they see some really high ceiling potential in a kid and this guy wanted to play here. I had some messages from people soffing at his offers he had...St Marys and Utah are both good basketball programs who take kids that they can develop. Tampa is right also on Thomas, I been on his bandwagon since he commited, I think Tampa might have been the one who put his highlights on here first and I was very impressed. He is not the athlete Fudge is but is still very nice one and is much more skilled then Alex. I can see him at the 3 this year while he gains more muscle.
It's a luxury to have these guys coming in with plenty of time to develop. With Handlogten, Jarvis, and Samuels, there won't be pressure on the freshmen to carry the load right away. I'm not overlooking Shimmy, by the way. I think he can become a solid college player with time, and I imagine he'll get some minutes in most games. I liked his attention to boxing out when he started to play after Colin went down. Anyway... size! We'll have a group of bigs that go 7'-1", 6'-11", 6'-11", 6'-10", 6'-9", and 6'-8". And we can run some pretty big guards too.
It did, and I think we should call him Hawk regardless. Sounds much better, especially if he's hawkish on defense
English is spectacularly inconsistent, and the letter combination of "gh" is at the top of the inconsistencies. Laugh. Cough. Through. Bough. Bought. Ghost. Daughter. Although. Straight. Thorough. Weight. Height. Hiccough.
