  3. First off it shows how talented Carter is, we can say what we want but we can all acknowledge that's always part of the balancing act. Carter is really good. If he was on the fringes of being drafted he wouldn't have been chosen, however he was arguably the most talented player available from the get go.

Next we can discuss how Kirby's law or whatever ridiculous thing it's called that shields this type of stuff for time being. There's a reason why the reporters on our beat find stuff out asap while this was a pretty embarassing coverup.

Last, you have to acknowledge the mistake. We've all done a laundry list of stupid things when we were in our teens-early 20s. However I assume for almost everyone that doesn't include driving like you're in the Fast and Furious series especially when you're drunk. Dude was a lock to be worth millions in a few months and I'm sure he had NIL money yet didn't take a damn cab. This isn't Laremy Tunsil with a victimless "crime" of smoking weed. The whole thing is an awful story of bad judgment but Carter is good enough to where the Eagles would gladly pay a driver six figures to drive him wherever whenever such is the reality.

He is going to fall hard...

It Didn't Take Long For Jalen Carter To Justify Bears' Decision To Pass On Him

Add to the colors, he is filming himself while driving. He hasn't learned a thing.

Sure this isn't a spoof? Thought he was riding with his Georgia teammates who were all drafted by Philly?

Kid has obvious red flags but what’s the issue with this particular video?

I’m just mad he wasn’t wearing enough red and throwing enough gang signs. Kinda weak tbh.

If this is true, it reeks of the police trying to bury the whole deal. The first thing cops due in situations like this is run the offenders DL. ALWAYS. But since the AJC evidently didn't catch that part, and trigger the arrest in the first place, the law enforcement in Athens didn't bother to go further. He skipped a driving school for an infraction, which got his license suspended, which says a lot about his attitude. Doing what he did, on a suspended license, will land you in the clink in Florida for a while. Judges in our state do NOT like people that defy authority and drive on suspended licenses. It almost always leads to a stay in the pokey.

But he may have reinstated his license after the 2022 infraction, and so his license was current at the time of the fatal accident, which his attorney suggests. It is also possible that the cops missed it, because not all Georgia counties are electronic with their court dockets. Atlanta would be; Athens, who knows?
