Will BN win a title at UF? Probably not. Does it bother me? Not really.

A fixer is someone who takes care of a problem before anyone even knows about it, like when players are involved in fatal car accidents and it doesn’t come out for 2 months and there are no charges.

In 2022 Napier was unable to get production out of anyone whether by scheme or development, other than Torrence, Johnson, and Etienne.

aTm and SC were our two best games and after that it all fell apart when it should have been clicking.

 

Been watching the Gators since the early 70’s. Was there for 0-10-1. Last season was our least talented team I’ve ever seen including 0-10-1, and that’s not even close.

Mullen left a steaming piles of shit all over the program:
Poor Recruiting
Bad Assistant Coaches
Losing Culture
Zero accountability for anyone

Last year our best players were either freshmen or transfers from Louisiana. Yes, Louisiana. Not LSU.
Dexter, Miller, and AR were productive but not great.

For the poster who earlier said that it wasn’t talent because “Gator players litter NFL rosters”, you need to compare that number to the top tier College Programs. You will find that we are not even close to the top.
Many of Mullen’s losers left as soon as they saw what a real program demands of its players. Many more told the new coaches what they wanted to hear but went on with their usual ways. They are now gone as well.

I hope that Billy brings us back to contention. He is doing the right things and definitely (and finally) got UF Admin off their asses to fund what has been needed for at least 10 years. But he won’t fix this in one or two seasons. It’s going to take time. Period. If you don’t have the patience, please find another hobby for 18 months and come back in 24. Until then, please align your expectations with reality.

 

They were?!?! Stalling had some pretty damn good teams in the 90s and won the NC in 1992. The only losing seasons Bama has had since Bear Bryant retired was 5-6 in 1984 under Ray Perkins, 1993 when they went 9-3-1 but had to forfeit games, 1997 and 2000 under Mike DuBose, 2003, 2005 where they went 10-2 but had to forfeit wins, 2006 (6-7 and had to forfeit wins) and 2007 (7-6 but had to forfeit wins), which was Saban's first year. That's nowhere even close to "awful and a joke".

They had 4 head coaches in like 4 years

Mike Price was fired before even coaching a game

They were banned from bowls in 2002-2003

 

Right now we have the 7th most players on NFL teams

As I mentioned we are lacking at the superstar level and we are still far behind the Bamas and OSUs of the world.

But have we been a top 10 program the last 10 years? We’ve clearly underachieved the talent

 

Disagree. Over ten years, where we did have talent, it was very good to excellent. Where we didn’t have talent; we really didn’t have talent. We have not had a full starting 24 of upper half SEC talent since maybe 2012. We have had at least one huge, exploitable hole in every team we have put on the field. This past season was DL, LBs, and receivers. 2021 was everything but the RBs. 2020 was a defense that could stop anyone and an OL that couldn’t run block to save their lives. Prior to Trask, we had 5 games in ten seasons where we had a top 5 SEC QB.

A statistic like 7th most is a very incomplete picture to draw a conclusion from. Our All Decade Team from 2011-2020 probably wouldn’t have won the SEC more than once or twice over that decade.

 

Please explain to me what is a rough off season
