The consequences cannot come from the GOVERNMENT. THAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE FIRST AMENDMENT.

    Desantis=goverment
    Disney's speech=protected speech by the 1st
Desantis punishing Disney is a direct violation of the first.
    This is 8th grade stuff.

What are you having trouble understanding?

Sure, I'll waste my time explaining it to you, soldier.

Desantis AND THE FLORIDA LEGISLATURE has gone after Disney MULTIPLE times. Not a one off. How many bills directed at Disney? 3? 4? 5?

Get it yet? No? Please ask someone to explain it to you. Thanks.

No, because California once passed legislation that affects all corporations in California so that makes it ok for DeSantis to punish Disney for exercizing its First Amendment rights.

I also provided MULTIPLE examples of others going after businesses.

Some of which involved the same Governor.

So why are cases involving Florida and DeSantis different?

I don't think he is. He is just escalating the BS because he is getting pushed around so badly.

If Disney was actually being punished…like others are getting something they do not get. You have a point.

But that is not the case. And what reality is…there are consequences for Free Speech. What are you having trouble understanding?

This is either pure ignorance or a purposeful, trolling lie! By definition, if you are punished for doing something, you are NOT entitled to have done it, and therefore, it is NOT a right!

You said "they can and continue to be able to speak as they wish". What you did not say is "They can and continue to be able to speak as they wish, but they will be punished for it if they disagree with the governor, therefore, it is not a right".

Ahh... the classic "the answer is so obvious you're so stupid for even asking."

How'd that work out for you on exams in high school (assuming you made it that far of course)?

Your definition of "punished" is ignorant, not to mention, limited, and based on some BS definition you conjured up that it is punishment only if they take something away from you that others have. If they take something away from you for disagreeing with them, that is punishment, irrespective of whether or not others "get", have, or possess what they are taking away from you. The "possession" qualifier you employed is totally irrelevant, which you surely know.

Really? Go into your job tomorrow and make up a lie about them. Go public to take your stance. See how it works out.

Disney was getting special privileges by the State of Florida. They decided
to join a lie and false narrative about the state and now get to be treated like everyone else.

There are consequences for Free Speech. Disney is free to speak as they wish!

Go support a false narrative about your employer tomorrow. See how your free speech works out. You are free to peddle a false narrative all you want. But let me know if you get accolades or punishment lol…
