Added a little something to my pool cage today (yes, it is the original sign from KSP that @sandman70 was able to secure for me) Now it adds a little bit of privacy to the pool area.
Off topic- I am not looking forward to Oklahoma joining the SEC, and not even in a competitive standpoint but from a fan standpoint. Someone praised another team and the reply was claiming it was attacking the Oklahoma players. If Florida was the back to back champs and the heavy favorites to win it all again the last thing I'll be worried about is someone praising another team.
Oklahoma fans really are the worst. Worse than bama fans and that's saying something. I find it hilarious they didn't get a player of the year finalist.
I'm very interested in what's going to happen the offseason. Who is transferring out? Who is Tim going to get from the portal? What if any changes at the top are going to happen. Who will be hired as the 3rd paid coach?
I’ve been surprised with all the better than expected pitching I’ve seen across the country. I assume that explains at least some of the unexpected outcomes we’ve had this year. Really hoping for a solid refresh for the Gators in pitching development.
Definitely need a solid Pitcher (maybe 2) from the portal. Don't waste a roster spots. Need to have some conversations with returning upperclassmen that you will probably have a bench role next year and if you aren't good with that you might want to move on. And if it were me, overhaul the coaching staff.
We need 3 portal pitchers and 3 portal hitters. We have 6 incoming freshman, we lose 8 seniors and we only had 20 players on the roster. We need to get that up to 26 like most other teams. @notexgator has found us a ready to go corner infielder that can play the position and hit SEC pitching but we’ll still need two more hitters to come on board.
Remember TW only has 12 scholarships to spread around 20 athletes. You can bet Skylar has a full ride plus that incoming class has a few. You can only cut the pie so many times. So to attract good portal players there better be some good NIL assistance.
I’m sure a few get full rides and we have players from the state of Florida that qualify for Bright Future’s scholarships. We do have a nice NIL set up for Softball through Florida Victorious but regardless, we need to get the roster up to at least 24-25. Arkansas have a roster of 26, LSU has a roster of 27, Kentucky even has 23 on their roster and they all have the same scholarship restrictions as we do, why is it that we only have 20 on the roster? Right now with 8 leaving and a class of 6 coming in, we’ll have only 18 on the roster.
We need more quality players, especially pitchers. Need a true staff of at least 5 or 6. We've been pitifully thin this year compared to other SEC teams.
Next year would be her 6th year in college, 5th year playing. She’s done after ‘24 barring an injury and a medical waiver.
Lot of ladies playing their last season for the Gators. Wish them all the best in life. Next year will be a completely different team.
Charla Echols, Bryn Thomas, Sara Longley, Pal Egan, Liz Hightower, Riley Trichek, Sam Bender and Kenzie Goelz will not be on the team next year.
