I didn't realize he had multiple violent criminal offenses on separate occasions. If true, then yeah, this was a lousy commutation on Obama's part. In general, I think it's probably not a good idea to commute multiple violent offenders. One really has to scratch the head to figure why Obama would have commuted a multiple violent offender.

There are some crimes you cannot come back from... I'll bet he got away with more crimes than we know.

    He is now...

They commute people like this, but then want to take away our guns. Can't make it up...

That’s his current charges. He wasn’t convicted of a violent crime when pardoned according to the article. When pardoned his crimes were drug possession.

Bizarre. It is like they aren't READING what is being posted but what they want to read instead.

This is exactly how misinformation is disseminated. Be part of the solution not the problem. He did not commute a multiple violent offender. If you are taking that posters posts at face value. You may need to fact check him before agreeing to his lies. Both sides, need to do a better job.

That’s that contingent for you, a bunch of non-reading ass dudes blindly co-signing each other’s misinformation. Typical.

His commutation was for a drug charge that he’d served 20+ years for under “3 strikes”, not 3 attempted murders. We may not agree on the result but at least read the article and get your facts straight.

Good question, here is your answer. After being released he tried to kill a woman so yes he should not have had his sentence commuted. Actually I wouldn't have a problem if all crack cocaine dealers got a life sentence, I'm sure many people who have lost a son or daughter to drugs would agree. It was not marijuana it was crack cocaine.

He served 22 years for a decidedly non-violent crime. Do you know the difference between violent and non-violent?

Anyone on here thinking someone should serve a life sentence from their early 20’s for committing a non-violent felony would be BEGGING the DA for leniency if it were their own child.

It’s easy to be self-righteous when it’s someone else’s kid.
