As a general rule, Republicans will be friends with even hardcore progressives even if they know their politics, but the reverse is not true.

DeSantis has not "banned" a single book. That is a complete myth. He has removed some age inappropriate books from school libraries. Children can still purchase those same books or check them out from their local library.

That's the most damning evidence of all that this is personal retribution by DeS against Disney. If he is really concerned about Special Districts, he would be interfering with the other 1800+ districts in the state of Florida. Somehow I doubt that this is the case.
