Disney scraps plans for new Florida campus, mass employee relocation amid DeSantis feud

It's "greedy corporations" pushing their weight around until the governor has an (R) next to his name.

But I do believe Disney should be allowed to express their opinion, so long as they don't impose said opinions via policy change in Tallahassee. I think DeSantis would have been better off letting Disney's words speak for themselves and letting the people act accordingly. I recall the Southern Baptist Convention boycotting Disney for many years. I think that's how you hurt them (if that's possible). I don't like the political retribution angle this puts DeSantis in.

The good news is that as DeSantis fades, Mr. Trump emerges as the frontrunner for 2024. +7 today over Biden:

They also have a huge chunk along the forgotten coast they plan to do the same with - long term. Got to have somewhere for the throngs of people moving to Florida for its fabulous governor

Citizens united was hated by the left, because it was going to lead to, and ultimately has led to enormous political contributions by corporations controlling the outcome of elections. I don’t think anyone really gives a crap, other than Ron DeSantis and his minions, if the CEO of a corporation speaks out in opposition to a bill.

Definitely possible. I am not running from the fact DeSantis is part of making this an issue. But it is being way overblown in the media. And while I could be wrong. This is a winning issue for DeSantis.
