Mike, are you watching "Rocky Horror"? and are you "Lost in the time warp again??

    Forget 1950.

I'm talking about 2010 to the present. Going on season 14 ..........
please show me the stacked up hardware for UF football in that period! We both know, there AINT none.

Mullen went 11-2, Muschamp did it once. But there have been 4 losing seasons also, and several others that were good but by no measure great.

I think you folks are trying to live on prestige money that was spent long ago.

our leader decided to sit out and we weren’t very good before. We were playing a good team without our qb. We were 6-6 already. No one was inspired.

While I don't disagree with you, I think your answer is the 2nd most common reason. Three years ago, it was certainly #1. But, IMO, NIL has trumped even that. Miami and A&M exhibit A and B.

fwiw: Much of that $30mil class aTm signed has either bolted or fizzled. The Ruiz U shopping spree appears to have been neutered. Meanwhile Bama & UGA were 1-2 in recruiting, again.

I think you said what I was saying, more recent history holds more weight to anyone thinking about coming in to the program.

To be fair, he wrote that in the 80s.

Sorry, I just see excuses. Our team was unprepared. I was getting flash backs of the Muschamp offensive. I am not expecting to win every game, but why should we watch or spend any of our money if the team mails it in?

I understand this is not his team or players, but he needed to get more outta the team. We should have been shutout in the bowl game and thats embarrassing. I am not saying let's dump him already, I want him to succeed, but right now I would even rate the Zooker as a better coach, at least he could recruit.

Usually getting players focused and inspired to play is the head coaches job, but I guess at UF it falls on the players to get each other fired up to play.

I guess Napier couldn’t get AR inspired and it’s his fault, typical.

Well hopefully someone in the locker room steps up and inspires the team to focus and play hard every week during the upcoming 2023 season, since apparently it’s not Napier’s job to do so.

Just FYI…US NEWS REPORT lists UF as the #5 top public university. Texas comes in at #10 and UGA at #16.

    A&M? #26.
    Bama at #64.

He can’t make em play. Hopefully he’s recruiting guys that do play.

Seems like an accurate assessment of what happened. Is CBN the coach that will lead us out of the wilderness...jury is out on that. Its pretty clear that the Gator faithful are going to have to hold onto their hats because the coming season is going to be...a rough one.

Do you really believe this, or are you just trolling for more arguments again?

I think the person who believes the team was uninspired to play in a bowl game because one of their teammates didn’t play (not because the coach didn’t have them fired up and ready) is the one trolling, ask them

Your dislike for Billy Napier is well documented here. Hammering away on him at every opportunity serves no purpose other than making you really obnoxious to everyone else. Give it a break

And there isn't 10% of the UGa fanbase that cares, or wouldn't move back to the 100s for a few more football NC's.

I’ve actually supported Napier, however pointing out that it’s a coaches job (not their teammates) to have players prepared and inspired to play in a bowl game is not “hammering away.” What’s obnoxious is feeling the need to police every posters opinion you don’t agree with.
