All-Big West guard Pullin expected to enter portal All-Big West guard Pullin just entered the portal as a grad transfer. Does Golden have a connection to him?
We are not going to get a starting point guard at this late juncture, but I think Fawcett is right, that this guy fills a need for someone willing to come off the bench and give 15 mpg Saint Peter’s Point Guard Jaylen Murray Set To Visit Florida | GatorCountry.com
We have our starting PG unless CTG convinced Clayton give up his starting job and offers to start at other schools just to come here and back up Kugel. That seems like a tough sell.
Jordan Love is available and the ESPN announcement is clear as mud. It states he has decomitted and there's an administration issue related to credits transferring. So, did he quit because the money didn't show or did he have unaccredited or insufficient credits at UNC? As stated by others here, whom I concur with, he's not what we need unless you want a PG thats going to take half of the team FG attempts.
We just offered HS player Travis Perry. Hope we can pull him away from the Big 10. Lyon County (Ky.) guard Travis Perry is ranked as a top-100 prospect, being listed as the No. 83 player in the country, and the No. 10 guard, per 247 Sports. Perry holds a slew of offers from big-time programs, including the Kentucky Wildcats. Alongside them are the likes of Michigan, Virginia, Vanderbilt, Purdue, and many more. However, Perry spoke to 247 Sports about the schools that are making him a priority: “Purdue, Indiana, Cincinnati, Western Kentucky, Michigan,” he said. “I have been talking to those schools, learning more about them and seeing how I can fit in their system.”
Dennis and Clayton would be starters in the backcourt and kugel would play the 3. Richard would come off the bench.
It's not uncommon at all for teams to play with 3 guard lineups. At 6'4"-6'5" super athletic, that's not too small at all anyhow. Pretty sure Richard is about the same size. Having someone like Dennis would give us the option to put a better group of 5 out there.
You need to have a really good reason to start 6'2", 6'2" and 6'5" guards together if you have all that talented height on the bench. Especially, when we already have a starting PG in Clayton.
It's called "auditions". You prove you belong on the court versus what your ranking says you are. What I want is for Dennis to visit and be hosted by Clayton, Kugel, and Richard. If they can get along, and Dennis buys into the company line, why can't us fans? As I posted before, I did not think Perry was a good fit, for the reasons you are inferring with Dennis: he would not start. Dennis isn't the same kind of player...IMO. He could easily come in and take it.
College players don’t have long enough careers to play around with their starting positions. They all want to make it to the NBA. How does that help them? I think you are looking at this too idealistically.
