The Rays got off to such an amazing start, they had to come down to earth eventually. Considering the money disparity between them and the Yankees, Red Sox, Dodgers, Astros, and most of the rest of MLB, it's incredible how competitive Tampa Bay is year after year. Maybe the best run organization in all of sports.
They did have a top 5 pick like 11 straight years to start.. Surely didnt hurt. But agree on payroll compared to rest of division,,minus Os of course. Very similar to Rays, when you keep drafting early you better be good eventually.lol Now Os have #1 farm system(by a lot per most) and extremely young MLB team that will get nothing but better, & not to shabby now. Back to Rays. I started wagering them every game bout a month ago, in attempt to drail them(except Os series) Might be time to jump off that train.. I still say/bet they wont be top 3 in division at end.
