Two wins in Lexington would make the 2023 team the second-winningest regular season ballclub ever behind the 2016 squad (44-11, 19-10 SEC).
Baseball Cats, Gators Set for Top 10 Showdown 5 seasons ago, UK emphasized how good the GATORS were at "triples allowed." This year, it's worth pointing out that Kentucky is really struggling in the division in saves allowed in conference games (tied for 2nd worst with Tennessee). That could be the difference this weekend. Go GATORS! ,WESGATORS
This could be another difference maker.... Owner University of Kentucky Field size LF: 335 ft LC: 375 ft CF: 400 ft RC: 365 ft RF: 320 ft That's a short field in right and the right center gap. Look for Riopelle to get one or two out this weekend especially facing RHP. Imagine how many homers Cags would have if we played in that park everyday. Looking out from home is towards the east. If we get any western breezes on Sat/Sun, it could be a real homerun derby. Plus a smaller RF will help Shelnut not have to cover as much ground whereas Robertson and Langford will cover the rest. Any flyball Kentucky hits that stays in the park will most likely be caught.
